No such thing as a 10/10 troll. We call those legitimate topics.

Well, if we look at the history of trolling, the ancient bloodninja writings should be considered a 10/10. But they were entirely based on cryptic troll lore that is long since forgotten, so today even the best trolls can hardly manage a 6/10.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

By definition, the perfect troll is one where no one realizes it is a troll. Thus we can give no examples, because we can't find any.

I have only once encountered a 11/10 trolling.

It was so purely awsome that other trolls normally in that forum simply incinerated themselves in its presence and oddly enough the forum was troll free for a month until the thread locked then deleted.

If only if I kept a sliver of such and preserved it then modified it for eve purposes I'd think it do some good here.

I put forward this beauty, not as a 10/10, but at least a 7/10 for the amusement factor. He received a number of emails offering aid, lol

A 10/10 troll thread is contains blindingly obvious (Or even admitted) trolling, but people somehow manage to get incredibly butthurt over it.
The more tears and more obvious the trolling, the better.

This one time after i broke up with a girl i told her i had herpes. I clearly didn't but she was freaking out and went to the doctors to get checked anyways.
I would like to think of that as a 10/10 troll.

I have more space likes than you.

I hate starting new threads, so I am just going to take this one. Topic is related.

Anybody else noticed the dramatic increase in troll activity on here over the last few days?
Being the inquisitive person that I am, I am still searching for reasons.
My theory is that the increase in trolling is caused by the anticipation of the winter expansion and general contentment of the players. In other words: the decreasing whine threads are not replaced with "normal threads", less whining means obviously more trolling. There seems to be no middle ground between whining and trolling in here.
If my theory is correct, then ccp should consider the large number of locked threads a good omen for the coming expansion and sign of regained trust.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

So let's see it. What is a 'good troll'?

This thread has been one of the better threads of recent weeks but it doesn't necessarily make you a good troll. I do have to admit my first instinct was... is he just trolling or? Then I realised moments later you were just trolling.

I award you 3/10

Edit: To the guy above, yeh I think your theory might be relatively accurate with the upcoming expansion more people are sourcing answers from the forums and that means more victims using easy bait to lure them under the bridge where they can ridicule their captive peers.
