I think im going to take it slow with the drake and graduate to the nighthawk or tengu.

Hopefully subtracting from some of the woeful advise here. I'd have to say, stick with drake.

Here's some reasons why/

-Cruise missiles are simply the worst weapons in eve relative to ship class.
-Tengu/Faclon/Rook need cruiser 5.
-Drake is more than enough.
-Moar hate aimed at cruise missiles. (The worst weapon system in eve)
-Moar hate aimed at cruise missiles. (The worst weapon system in eve)
-Train rails/blasters, then cross train gallente.
-Torps suck a fair bit too.
-Moar hate aimed at cruise missiles. (The worst weapon system in eve)

Aim for a tengu imp :)
