Ok so when i started this game i got screwed up and down New Eden for isk and ships blowing up all over, I then noticed posts repeating about awoxers and its unfair mechanics well i thought im going to try it and see how easy it was. So in the first week this happened

{Snip. Posting kills is not allowed here. -- ISD LackOfFaith}

Now neither corp asked for an api or even checked my killboards or simply even check eve-live. I see alot of people saying theres no way to actually find out if someone is an awoxwer maybe, maybe not but we all know im going to head onto recruitment tomorrow and do this all again with this same charcter even after this post. I guess the point is why dont people check there members even when there flying capital industrials etc and im not even good at awoxing . People check your new members.

Well in my experience most corps do require an API check, however it's definitely true that a lot still don't. I've been hunting for a corp I like for a week now and joined several that didn't work out so far, in every case they required an API, and these weren't even massive corps, but ones as small as 7 man ones upto 40 man ones.

However as you suggested/questioned, it's true that nothing can prevent awoxers completely, hell you can have a disgrunted member go crazy, or you can have someone who makes dedicated alts for it, just like people do for suicide ganking, then throw them away when they are no longer usable.

I had one of the corps I applied to nearly reject me when they saw same-corp kills and thought I was a awoxer, had to explain it was a corp tourny where some idiot tried to fight in a battle barge. :P

Fixed.

While a corp recruiter should do some research on an applicant, you have to admit that the "free to shoot" status that a corporation gives its members is stupid, especially regarding the inability to deactivate it by choice.

You want to talk about dumb mechanics? try running a corp out of a PoS. that is infintely more hair pulling than being "allowed" to shoot corpies

More often than not, posts of this nature are made with inflammatory intent and are designed to promote trolling and flaming. Therefore, the posting of links to kill reports from any third party site, or the direct copy-pasting of kill reports from in game is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online Forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel.

Had to snip out some killboard links. Nice kills, but unfortunately they are not allowed here. Carry on!

Anyone who reads Crime and Punishment for more than 3 seconds can tell that most corps don't even bother to search the forum much less check an API.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

API's are pretty irrelevant for the most part. Eve Kill should tell you anyway about an Awoxer to start with. If you can't find any info then maybe a quick ship kill and a few other API's.
But the full API thing a lot of corps try insisting on is a joke. Which then has the backlash of no API because a lot of people don't like full API's. Probably exactly as intended by the Null lords. You have to trust them entirely with your EVE life, but they don't have to give you anything.

Plus, there are lots of false accusations on the forum it seems.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

It's pretty easy to weed out 98-99% of AWOXers between a voice interview and a week in a holding corp.

Operational security is the difference between a thriving corp and a corp that deserves to die.

Some people don't need false accusations though.

They appear quite capable of showing themselves up without any assistance whatsoever.

Oh look, another e-peen waving thread by a disposable alt that will be biomassed in a week. Because we needed more of those.

E-peen waving threads can start discussions with insight in them, though.
A dedicated awoxing toon will burn out quick, eventually leaving enough of a trace or messed up looking employment history.
Some fool accused me of awoxing due to blue pods on my KB, he was new to null though. Pod express anybody?

People in the recruitment channel are brain dead. We literally had a guy go around called "XxX420spylorxXxXAwoxXxX" or something to that effect, and he got over a dozen invites in an hour. The first corp he talked to literally told him they had an orca available for boosting.
