Incursions - Revamp

OK...before any of you guys reading it chime in that I'm a noob and a UNI membr to that, I'd like to say I KNOW :)
Now for the actual post:

Incursions...I'd expect incursions to have copied the mission concept, adding up a fleet requirement to the success rate, e.g. no go for solo, no matter what hull...

only to discover by discussions with other corpmates that without a BS hull I'd have no chance. a bit of a fuckup then sorry for the expression :) not to allow to cut and blitz BSes through sites set up for smaller fleeted(!) hulls, that would be easily done by restrictive acc gates, just like in normal missions...

I didn't run incursions yet only because I feared that I might hit rather a rat squad that would rip me off instead of a serious co op player engagement, only to discover now that without having skilled up BS, I got no chance whatsoever...

is this really the case? I'm fed up with missioning, and incursions have dragged me because of what they offer in terms of fleet co-op, with a little less difficult targets than actual skilled pvp engagements, for a decent isk reward share. and now CCP effectively thwarted my second most desired target until I can fly a t1 BS properly :)

anyone who would speak up and agree or criticise my opinion would be most welcome...

CCP, revamp the incursions, PLEASE.

Why revamp? You can run Incursion sites in HAC or T3, which are all Cruiser. There are also other sites than just Vanguards or Assault/HQ sites. If you don't like or cannot fly a BS, take a smaller group into the smaller sites. You can even go solo into the easiest sites, if you are properly skilled for HAC/T3 or BC. There are already sites there for begg(inn)ers like you. There are two things you should not expect, however, and these are:


  1. Things should not be made easier just because you are not ready for the EVE life.
  2. You cannot get top payment for the easier sites like in the better sites.

Start your own incursion comunity.

Watch what happens.

Incursions are hard(ish). In Fact they are designed to provide a challenge to us.

Incursions are for the same reason also the most profitable PvE short of Wormhole PvE.

Incursions can only be done as a group. Groups that do this are there either for the challnge or the ISK. 99.9% are there for the ISK and want to make the most of their time. Therfor they dont want to drag people along that slow them (!) down. And they have figured out that the most efficiant way to run Incursion HQ's (thats where the real money is) is to get Vindicators, Nightmares, Machariels, Basilisks and Scimitars. And bar a change in Meta this will remain the case.

I have no idea how E-Uni is structured. Is ther a (maybe small) comunity in E-Uni that would like to run some incursions. Get together with a few vets and try it.

It doesn't take long to be able to fly a nightmare, vindi or a mach with Meta 4 guns...

You need a T1 BS with a T2 Tank & Meta 4 guns to start incursions, that's not that hard. If you can't do that, then yes, the major HQ communities won't take you yet, because you will cause the fleet to loose ships since it's not just you who gets affected if you die.

It used to be perfectly possible to take a hurricane, harbinger or navy omen along on vanguard fleets. Is this no longer the case?

atm incursions are getting overcroused and there is like 3 fleets per site compeating for iskies..

we could do with new sites and new incursions (after the mom is popped) spawning faster.

and possably raise the incursion cap from 3 to 4 for all securities (high low null)

atleast 70/70/70/70 @100k ehp BEFORE boosts for HQs.
typically turret based ships seperated into close range or sniper.

only if you can get 40 people (for high sec) together with fleet+wing boosts and an FC and like 8 logi.

wormhole space needs much less people maybe 5 to 10.
