The station has seen better days. While it still bears the glossy sheen that betrays its Gallente-engineered design, beneath the chrome and glass, the heart decays.

A small ship approaches the station, refusing to identify itself despite repeated hailing. It stops, as if staring at the undock.

A sudden bright light shines in the darkness, bathing the station in an orange glow. Alarms sound, echoing through corridors, bouncing off bulkheads, though the station crew are too few in number to respond according to regulations.

"We need help." Station Commander Audea Lamonteaux, recording her distress message, is unable to fully hide the panic in her voice. "Federal forces are moving against Cartel-sympathetic targets across the Region."

From far away from Placid, the response comes, ships undocking, cynosaural fields spinning up. Stillwater Corporation moves.

Stillwater Corporation notes that it has moved its theatre of operations temporarily to the Placid region, nominally claimed by the Gallente Federation. Our intent is to support our Intaki Syndicate friends in the area, who are facing harassment and discrimination, and to defend Guardian Angel and Serpentis assets. Where appropriate, we will also act to curb unnecessary conflicts between Federation and State forces, and limit gross violations of standards.

We have already been forced to intervene in an out-of-control confrontation between Gallente and Caldari militias. There were few survivors from either militia. I am happy to report that Stillwater and associates took no losses in the action.

After a month of operation, Stillwater's Placid Campaign is reaching the end of active deployment.

In the last month, a lot has been achieved in terms of securing and defending Angel, Serpentis and Intaki assets in the region, mostly through interdiction of Gallente and Caldari Militia operations. All strategic objectives set ahead of us at the start of the campaign have been achieved. Those of you who are into numbers and statistics may look into the campaign's statistics of 95.18% campaign efficiency with 17.8 billion worth of hostile ships destroyed.

Whilst most of our forces will be focusing on another theatre of operation, a standing Stillwater task force shall remain in Placid to ensure the safeguarding of Angel interests in the immediate area. As the saying goes, Angels are never far.
