I have a feeling he was account sharing..and the other person made off with the toon.

Anyways, you really should have this handled via support ticket. Nothing said in General Discussion will help 'your friends' case one bit.

Also,While you are paraphrasing what a GM said, you should generally refrain from discussion GM communications on the forums as its bad. Rule 9 I believe.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I remember that guy. I don't know what the Incursion password reset was. I think I understand what you're saying, but I don't know what CCPs policy is if a character is sold to a legit buyer while the account is being accessed from someone other than the owner. That said, CCP won't talk to you about it, the only person with a stake is your friend himself. Your friend should be talking to CCP himself, and if he wants advice he should probably go himself to reddit, kugu, FHC, whatever.

If CCP doesn't at least agree that the account was hacked, then he won't be able to get character back, even if he gets his account back.

This, really. If they take a deeper look, they should be able to tell with high certainty weather this was the case. And if he was account sharing, he out of luck and has no one to be bitter with except himself. If he was hacked, well, that sucks too.

aye i should watch my mouth and im sorry before the lock but as he cannot post himself he begged me for help.

I understand his point of view but i just wanted to know any thoughts of help

Oh...I love "I have a friend" posts! Usually that's what "hacked" means - "I have a friend," or "had". It's a funny way of saying, "I gave someone I shouldn't have trusted my password and ID, and he/she USED it! (imagine that!) Now, I'm hoping I can juke the system so I won't have to actually PAY for my STUPIDITY! I'm not sayin'...I'm just sayin'.
