Display Driver stopped responding

Has anyone been having any video driver issues since the last eve update?

I have been running 2 systems for the last several years with no problems and now I am getting the same problem on both of them when I launch Eve. This only happens when Eve is running.

One system is running Win7 32bit & the other is Win8 64bit. Both have NVidia cards.

I get a popup in the lower right corner with the following error:

"Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"
"Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 332.50 stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

The screen will flicker and then go black for about 15 sec and then come back on with the same message.

This will continue to happen until I close Eve and then it stops and all is back to normal.

This is happening on 2 separate systems.

If anyone can offer any help I would appreciate it. I am unable to play the game at this point....

Thanks,
Lirp

Wow! Nvidia! First time I see it on a non amd card.

Try switching to dx9 in the launcher!

I am also having the same issue on both of my boxes. (Both ATI cards) I have not tried switching back to DX-9 yet. Are there known issues with DX-11?

Update 08FEB2014: Rolling back to DX-9 greatly reduced the crashes but did not eliminate them.

If only there was a sub-forum dedicated to detailing current issues & their workarounds.

If only.

Is there another sub forum in which to propose such a feature and/or idea as well?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I've had these issues aswell, only after I updated my ATI drivers to Catalyst 14.1 beta. It fixed it!

Note that the specific driver I'm reffering to is to fix the issue between APU and dedicated video cards in dual GPU mode. (Think crossfire, but with 1 card and built in GPU.)
Its a beta driver meant to fix a specific issue...

Got the same issue. It happens faster when I start 2 eve clients. Turning off SLI solves the problem. Haven't tried reverting to DX9. Running dual GTX 770 with two screens. Patch notes of the latest NVIDIA driver state there is a Eve online profile now - but I don't know how this would be activated and if this has something to do with the problem.

Same issue here. Started after the latest patch.

Two different PC's: Nvidia GTX580 (332.21) and GTX 770m (334.67). Happens after jumping gates, sometimes the client recovers other times it crashes.

I have a similar problem. Since a few days my game keeps crashing my NVIDIA drivers as I dock any station. As soon as I dock any station and the 'loading' text is displayed the screen starts flickering and a few seconds later the game crashes either with bsod or unresponsive black screen.

The workaround for me is to alt+tab when the docking starts and alt+tab back after a while. It's not a 100% solution and it is a bit annoying.

I also raised an issue with DxDiag attached.

I run a GTX 285 and ive had the problem for about a week now.
Yesterdays patch did however diminish by a fair bit.
went from pixelating flicker to very faint UI flicker ofc both affecting the overall system graphic with a black flicker then the driver crash and either it recover or drops 1 screen.

There are many active threads on this. I tried dx9 and disabling sli on my gtx 570 cards and none of them provided a solution. I then used evga precision to raise the voltage two steps up from stock on my cards and have since been 100% crash free.
