Whenever I attempt to join eve voice, Not only does EVE disconnect, but anything else on the network disconnects as well, leading me to believe that my router isn't agreeing with it and crashing. Is there any possible work around for this?

Try updating your routers firmware. We are aware of this happening with some older router firmwares that somehow don't seem to like EVE Voice and lose connection whenever EVE Voice tries to connect. So far, updating to the latest firmware for the routers in question usually solved this.

Unfortunately there is not an updated firmware available from either my ISP or the router's manufacturer. Are there any other possible workarounds for this problem?

Get a new router maybe? or play without the router.

I'd rather exhaust all solutions that don't wind up costing me money. And mindlessly playing with a router is liable to **** up more things then it fixes, thus me asking for suggestions.

Perhaps try;

Resetting your router to factor defaults and reconfigure. (if this solves it then some stored data was corrupted)>

Examine your port forwarding/ filtering/ blocking. There may be a chance that your router is messing with the ports that eve voice uses.

I'll give port forwarding a try, but I'm not really holding out hope on it working. I can't reset it to factory defaults due to it being a ISP owned modem/router combo which means it has specific settings for this specific isp.

Is there a list of ports used by EVE Voice (And EVE in general) available anywhere?

http://support.eve-online.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=376 offers a list of ports and quite a few other troubleshooting hints.

And now I'm unable to test this since I no longer have a join audio option when I right click the channel tabs. Was the option to join eve voice moved somehwere or am I experiencing a bug?

This is just incredibly annoying. I've got entire sections of the game that are completely unavailable to me due to all these small problems with eve voice.

This is taken care of, and port forwarding didn't fix the problem.

this problem crept in for me with the crusible expantion although the op of that thread had problems before that. worth trying a reinstall before buying a new router especially if eve voice worked ok before.

in looking for a solution i came across a post about 1 dutch isp that uses Ports 5060 and 5062 - UDP - for voice control signals (SIP) and refused to open them for the customer. an old workaround for that was to change the ports but eve no longer supports that.

try deleting the vivoxoal.dll and vivoxsdk.dll in your eve/bin folder then run the repair tool. looks like something is corrupting them files for some reason.

My ISP decided to show up and replace my router/modem with a new one out of the blue. That fixed it.
