I played for years and left at Incursion, what did I miss?

Last time I logged in Eve was inside a station and walking around in it. I remember CCP introducing chess and station to station connectivity (so that we can see other pilots) what happened there?

Also, what are the big changes? Is it true that CCP almost tanked with the recent Dust venture and unpopular changes to the game? Players online are still, somewhat, the same. I'm not sure about dedicating my time again to an unstable game. How is Eve doing these days?

CCP didn't "almost tank" at all. They've had some rough spots but the game is doing quite well.
I started playing in Incursion and the game is so incredibly different even in this short span of time.
I really wouldn't even know where to begin. I suggest reading the patch notes to start.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

You missed Incarna, which no one really liked, that scared CCP. Since then they've been working on fixing major, and minor, problems with the game. Theres a lot more options now.

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

I played a long time even before Incursion started. I want to see someone's opinion about the big expansions that came after Incursion, especially from a long time vet.

Loads of ship changes happened + new deployable structures + some new ships and new crimewatch system, new bounty system. User interface upgrades. Graphics upgrades to smooth out some old stuff.
There's prob more but those stand out to me Smile

The more it changes, the more it stays the same. Especially here in the forum where the same tired arguments are going on that were current when the OP left the game.

In any case, Taylor, you should be able to slot back in with a minimum of catching up. Nothing incredibly major has changed. Just lots and lots of little things.

They almost had issues paying a large loan on the year after incarna. Had things gone a bit worse thewy could have had very very serious issues, They fired people and got over it. But that was because of inrcana and not dust. A huge number of players had cancelled their subscriptiosn for a few months that caused the issue for them, and forced CCP to review their stance.

I almost had issues because I set a hot coffee near the edge of my desk where it could have been knocked off if anyone was around. About the same relevance.

EVE is doing ok-ish. CCP released boring shooter for ancient consoles and is going to release even more boring flight simulator for even more exotic hardware (which is not even released yet).

There were some changes in faction "warfare" and that's it.

If you were walking around inside of a station, you were playing Incarna, which came out after Incursion.

I doubt the veracity of your post utterly.

Trillions and trillions of isk, and the inflation that goes with it.

Also, we have patch notes now.

Jukebox nerfed, barges tanked up, TiDi, "Soundwave" left, a bunch of Titans "died", and DUST is still sucking the creative lifeblood out of EVE.

There, you're all caught up.

We all do mistakes. But it's ok. I reserved a special place for my coffee mug and espresso cup on my desk. From that point in my life, it was no more stress to think about spilled coffee.

Rapid Light Corpse Launchers are a thing now. You load them up with the biomass of the fallen and they do +10 damage when fired at Mages who are less than level 80.

You're imagining things - walking around is possible but the others never happened.

Nope, no tanking, and not unstable - just more imagining on your part. Or is it trolling?
