Do you leave your victims alive?

Once you've finish off someone's ship, do you let them escape in their capsule, or do you add insult to injury and pod them?

I personally leave them alive. I'm in it for the profit, and capsules don't drop any loot. I have no practical reason to kill their clone too.

Look at my sig, my sig is amazing

Depends on the reason for attacking them.

I generally go for pods if the person has annoyed me, been extremely stupid, or if I want a killmail from them. That's a minority of the time.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Seeing corpses floating around in space breaks up the monotony of the standard EVE graphics.

If you are in it for profit why don't you ransom their pod?

I'll ransom any pod I catch when I'm out pirating. But you must honour the ransom. It pays for itself when done correctly.

That is the Way, the Tao.

If they dont use the spam warp button when there ship explodes its there own fault.

Pod 'em all. Most of my pod kills come from situations where I have been blobbed. I will focus fire to take at least one of them down with me and they often hang around, evidently feeling invulnerable due to the presence of their gang.

Having said that, no-one should ever pod me because that would be unfair. My last pod loss was due to spamming the wrong button!

Podding is immoral. It should not be done. Every Eve pilot deserves and escape route. It's called an ESCAPE pod for a reason. It should be an exploit to even lock a pod. CCP should change the name or give 30 day bans to folks that blow up ESCAPE pods. This really doesn't even need to be discussed.

I don't go to lowsec or nulsec so I can't be podded. I'm just looking out for the new players that don't know how to be safe.

There are very good reasons for shooting pods, if you play a role where keeping 'score' matters. If not keeping score (alliance vs alliance), then at minimum you should be asking for a ransom while they are tackled -- many will kick in some solid ISK'ies to avoid this happening.

Some people, like d400, just want to see pods burn and in so doing collect some nice bounties

True as that may be , there's something about pods wich ''triggers'' me to kill them .Regardless of loot/killmail or my own seclosses for doing so in low-sec.

To answer the OP's question, I pod if possible. It takes longer for them to get back into the fight and corpse collections don't grow on there own unless of course you don't store them correctly.

Don't feel bad, I scrammed a Mobile Depot instead of the Fleet Republic Firetail and ended up getting dogpiled because fat fingers. So fail... mildly embarrassing. The worst part is that my Corp's fleet was watching the whole thing.
