Summer Expansion: Infatuation (dating, marriage and conjugal visits.)

In an effort to stress test multi-user Incarna environments it would be a good idea to give people reasons to meet in each other's CQ or in a neutral 3rd party location. It's going to be a difficult task to fit even more than two as it creates strain exponentially as the number of avatars increases. What would be better than to use this opportunity to flesh out the courtship aspect of EVE. Many people have been waiting for this for some time. Just think about the last time you were on TS , did you not passively overhear two coed's casually flirting? Do guys not give gifts in the form of ships and skill books to girls they fancy? The players have been asking for this for some time. Furthermore, this last summer the NeX store suffered from a lack of design options which led to a lot of mudslinging, the problem behind this is that there were no themes. Now there would be a dating and marriage theme.

Cute skirt: 200 AUR
Boquet of flowers: 350 AUR
Engagement ring: 5000 AUR
Wedding dress: 15000 AUR

see?

This is the thing which could save the shop from all the bad publicity. Eve is a mature game but more importantly in many cultures and in christian marriages sex is a required part aspect so conjugal visits will be required. This only serves to give more options to the NeX store and I will let you minds wander about those items OopsPBig smile

Best of all don't forget is that this would provide technical improvements to EVE and eventually we would be able to have even more people in a room, for instance 4. So there could be double dates, and then even 8 once that goes well and it can be a full blown dinner party! This introduces a ton of options towards mini-games and mini professions. Cooking (game) and catering (profession)

The only problem there would be is buying new servers to fit all of the new subscribers and this is a great way to expand on plain old CQs

There is something that really attracts me to your idea....

Not switching from eve to my browser is nice change to get some jiggles :)

Furthermore, let's keep the relations to real life only.

I support this idea because there is obviously a huge market for creepy **** like MMO weddings and sex, if there wasn't second life wouldn't exist and there would be far fewer stories about people getting internet married in WoW out there.

Combined with player run establishments and walking in stations that actually allows people to interact with eachother the ability to formally marry/divorce people would surely get some creepy idiots to drop cash on plex for aurum to get space-married with.

Also I will grief the crap out of those people.

Bravo, OP. Bravo. I salute you.

The 10/10 would be CCP actually deploying this.

Playing the sims does not allow a person to express their fictional love for other internet space captains in an arena that is visible to their internet space peers and as such is not a remotely adequate substitute. Much more adequate substitutes exist already and the fact that you cited the sims above one of those just goes to indicate your level of ignorance on this subject matter.

I guarantee that there are people who would get their characters internet space married either because they are complete lunatics who like to do that sort of thing, because their players are actually in a relationship and one of them is extremely posessive of the other and wants to extend that psychosis into internet space or they are just out for some luls.

If you're going to have all that avatar based WiS crap where you can for some reason play space boardgames and hold space parties in your space bar you may as well have this kind of stuff just to try and exploit soem crazies.

Plus I want to declare war on someone when they are scheduled to get married and station camp them/shoot up their wedding.
