Catching a t3.

Hi all. I have been trying to figure out how to catch the 100mn afterburner t3 ships. I have encountered several now and even though I carry a scram and two webs, they still run away from me when tackled. Other than the ever popular eve amswer of more people....... Does anyone know how to keep these ships tackled? It's driving me nuts. Dual webbed and still do 500-700 m/sec.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Thank you

With an X-type Afterburner, a 100mn Tengu will manage about 1700 m/s. Under two 60% webs, that's 324 m/s.

Edit: Overloaded, 466 m/s.

since it's a 100mn T3 this means that, unless it's the loki, the ship is a missile one (most likely HAM legion or HAM tengu, or even HML tengu), and that means you can use a daredevil with a fed navy web.

Daredevil tackles Tengu. Yeah that will work out well.

Use a loki, overheated fed navy webs can reach 45km. Republic fleet disruptor 36km. If you can point them before they get out of range, they die.

As a frequent HML user, I fully endorse this piece of advice!

You need to catch those before they get to max speed.

Basically, what's preventing you from catching 100MN ships is their agility.

Their inertia is SO BAD that when you web it, it slow down so slowly that it will take 50km for it to slow down to their webbed speed. Think of it like a passenger liner (Like the Queen mary 2). It's heavy, but if you wanna stop it, it will take 25km to do so because it's FAT and engines aren't powerfull enough to stop it right away.

Catch it before it reaches 500m/s and it will be just fine. Or, apply 2/4 webs AND nuke his capacitor. T3s have a low amount of cap (They are stable with 100mns but still), so you might want to run a cycle of dual heavy neuts, that should bring them to 10% or even 0% cap.

OH your MWD ->double WEB -> DIsruptor (scram is useless)-> 1med neut at least, 2 better

You better have strong tank with average good resists all over the place, an OL 5 HM launcher is less than 3.3sec rate of fire 125m radius explosion, if the tengu has strong resists small buffer you will pown it, if he's more about buffer/medium resists (passive) are surprisingly effective because even with an empty cap they're there Blink, so his total ehp will not move that much even if you neut him while he's still shooting at you kinda grenades non stop ^^

Odds are 50/50, the one using more faction stuff sill win - done a bunch of fights vs faction lokis, only way for me to pown those is a-type passive EM/Explo, localised injectors, lots of extenders and "OVERLOAD BABE", I even let them come to me and neut me, ho and the HAM version vs loki is definitively my favourite now Lol

Fit multiple webs. Drink the tears when your victim thought he would be invincible.
