Economy of scale, for player owned manufacturing slots.

I propose a modifier for large production runs is added to player owned manufacturing slots. For any job that features more than 25 runs you could get (R/T*.01) percentage refund of the materials for the production job. Where R is the number of runs in the job, and t is the time in hours it takes to complete one run.

I haven't gone through all the modules with that modifier yet, so there might be some grievous problem with free production for some item or other. But the idea stands that there should be some advantage to manufacturing in your own facilities AND some advantage to manufacturing in large quantities.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

Create another barrier to entry for newbros looking to get involved with industry? Pass.

I get what you're trying to do, but there are already benefits to using POS arrays - in certain cases - and running large jobs simplifies the process of diversification when you've got piles of isk to invest. The incentive is already there. If you don't see it, you probably just don't need those facilities for what you're doing.

I'm not saying there isn't any incentive, I'm saying there should be more.

reduction in material costs through an available mechanic like this will pretty much set the market, similar to how production efficiency 5 works now. Its such a powerful thing that not even poses get it.

So, no.
