Hello.

I'm wondering how many of you here that uses the EVE forum does have Multicopters, or Tricopters, Quadcopters and so on as a hobby?

I have been using a radio controlled nitro car 6-8 years ago, but i stopped to use that one like 5 years ago. After that i haven't had any interests in radio controlled cars. However, after i started to watch different videos of Tricopters, Quadcopters and Octocopters and so on, i started to gain alot of interests in that.

This is a good example on a Multicopter i like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU4rEbCxSW0. Here is more info about the DJI S1000.

That thing is insane, but it's price is insane to. Just the frame alone costs around 3500 dollars i think. But, you have other Multicopters who can be a contender to the DJI S1000. And that contender is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_kmBD4ZYiA

That frame is much cheaper than the DJI S1000 frame. But the question is, is it as good as the DJI S1000 frame?

Well this is my dream to get in the future to do aerial filming and that kind of things. But i have to start somewhere before i can start searching for a license to use those big Multicopters fully out and get me one of those. So i have already started on my journey into this Multicopter thing Big smile.

I will start small and start to learn how to fly those things as i haven't flown a Multicopter before, so i have already bought a complete setup more suited for newbies from www.hobbyking.com. I have bought everything from the 'International / Global warehouse' there that is located in Hong Kong.

What i have bought is something you can see here. And here you can see a little video from another guy who have the same Tricopter frame as i have bought.

And here is another video of how the Tricopter looks with LED lights fitted while flying when it's more dark outside.

So i'm looking forward to build this up and start flying it.

So if you also fly multicopters of any sorts, then please let me or the others here know and share your pictures or videos of your setup.

P.S. Someone is using the name 'Drones' for this. It's not drones as it's refered to under a war where the military will use drones to spy on you or even kill someone. Media use the name drones on these Multicopters to set them in a worser position than they already are in. Yes some places in USA are about to ban those Multicopters to be used at all (note i'm from Norway so i'm not affected by that) just because they are afraid someone can use those Multicopters for spying on someone.

Here you can see more about that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygoJoVk_qSo and this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6CgCYsSiY0

EDIT: Here is a good example of something we can call as drones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNPJMk2fgJU
