I have one very real question:
"why are the new third teir Battlecruisers that are cappable of firing Battleship weapons, made of paper?"
Seriously, change the name, skill requirements and call these "T2 destroyers".
based on what I read about the blaster tweak/rebalance, who in the hell is going to equip a nagga with 'blasters'?
Missiles are the caldari racial weapon, so why is the naga a BLASTER BOAT?
you can not speed tank in a BC with an orbit under 75km-
too many ships will neut, disrupt, web, the stuffing out of you if you try it.

I am not going to buy a ship that can't survive one volley from a MACHARIEL!
(by the way 14K+ volley damage at 146 KM is just awesome,Evil
Especially when you tack on how tough a mach is compared to these new BC's)
I am not going to buy a ship that can be torn apart by a dramiel!
I want to ba ble to stand a fricking chance against a LOKI....

I am not lining up to buy plex to buy and fit one of these "t2 destroyers".

there is a massive balance problem right now. that being pirate faction ships.
can the empires get a clue, and reverse engineer some of these things?

I mean, holly hell! with a set of Halo implants the dramiel has a 27 signature, a POD has 25 signature!
comparing the pod to a dramiel,, and then using the same ratios to improve every ship in the game would be NICE!

Let's see how that Mach is doing against the volley of some 15 Tornadoes, which is around the same price class as that Mach (and fully insured).

The best glass cannon is the kind you only need to fire once. With enough sensor boosters and rigs, you can make a Tornado lock a pod in 1.3 seconds, and with 1400s it can hit for 11000 damage in one shot.

I notice you assume people will not fit railguns to their Nagas. Considering railguns, being hybrid weapons, are included in the "hybrid rebalancing" part of Crucible, and are receiving a damage increase, and probably some other boosts too, this is unlikely.

EDIT: I somehow managed to hit Post before I was done. o_O
EDIT 2: Forgot where I was going with that x_X
EDIT 3: Dammit grammar!

Then don't.

Seriously, thats the beauty of it.

No one, and especially not CCP, is forcing you buy this new ship. And, you don't need this ship to be the best.

And to answer your question.

Yes. Yes they are glass cannons

The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't.

Shocked what?
okay, you can fly 15 ships all by yourself- I forgot your a podgod.

for the rest of us MORTALS flying only one ship at a time;

a 1400 fit mach with extras to boost gunnery will eat damn nearly anything alive.
146 KM, 14K+ volley damage.
for those of you who live in WOW- volley damage isn't like an alpha strike.
you don't set it up, use i, and wait for the cool downs, before you can try to set it up again.
it means that when all the guns cycle, that is the likely damage total of all those shots.Twisted

I don't think T3 strat cruisers can stand up to that for long.

just imagine, how I felt.
la la la, I have earned a tengu!
la la la, let's explore low sec...

I fitt HAMS, max range with all the bells and whistles: 47 KM. Ugh

146 km a mach fires.... booms!

12 KM to the gate,
who do you think will win?

I understand that it must be difficult for you to realise that Eve is a social game where people get together to accomplish goals.

why on earth compare them to a mach? mach costs what...900m unfit? (been awhile since i looked) new bcs will cost...oh 50~ mil? thats like getting pissed off a t1 frigate cant hack it against a HAC.

apples and oranges.

Are we talking about Tech 3 cruisers or tier 3 BC's, i'm confused.

new bc's will likely be hella cheap. but why not compare the mach to a T3 strat cruiser.
like a proteus is going to stand up in that withering fire, even with 200K+ ehp-

The cool thing about the new battlecruisers is that they actually fit with the original ocean navy design. That of a ship with the speed of a cruiser and the guns of a battleship. The idea being it could catch and kill enemy cruisers and outrun enemy battleships.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlecruiser
Quote:
They were similar in size and cost to a battleship, but while they typically used the same large-calibre main armament as a battleship, battlecruisers sacrificed armour protection in exchange for speed.

Shocked
yes I did.Cry

anywho, let's play your game: how would you adapt a tengu to waltz through repeated 14k+ volley damage?
what if your not able to run, for some damn reason or another? how would you people do it?
Many of you claim to be smart, show me how and I'll GTFO+ STFU+ L2P.

Twisted Ultimately, these new ships are fail. an extremely, super, massive one at that...
Hey I made a new word. "FAIL-HOLE". A "fail-hole" for when fail is so Supermassive it sucks up completely any belief in the existance of intelligent humans.

Ultimately you dont know what you are talking about. Fail at what? soloing? pretty much. Fail at being deadly under the right fleet composition, absolutely not.

tier 3 BCs are fantastic at a few things and very crap at everything else. Nothing wrong with that at all, don't see them as normal ships and don't expect them to be a better BC.

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.
