Implant scanning module?

We often catch pods in lowsec and will always offer a ransom (we are also one of the few corps about who will honour it too but I digress)

Obviously if said pod belongs to a month old noob you know he wont have implants or the means to pay a ransom, so we ransom them for a song on mumble. On the other end of the scale if a pod has tumbled out of a titan then you can be sure he has some groovy wires in his head.

In between these two extremes it is hard to know how much to go for. Now we have ship scanners and cargo scanners so perhaps a cranial scanner module is in order? Perhaps it could only work on pods (not ships) and it would certainly help bring back ransoming which is one of the coolest metagames in EVE.

It should be unpredictable so I can bluff to make you shoot an empty pod or get out for next to nothing.

Implement this along with Corpse Reprocessing and Implant Harvesting

What is a sec hit? You mean there are people that care about sec status / are not -10.0?

this isn't about the sec hit - it's about knowing the appropriate number to ask for in isk

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.
