I'm sitting here with four other people who have worked at shops that produced either a film or TV shows, and all of them are on macs (as we all kill time on our preferred forums since the stupid client is trying to cancel the meeting because of the "storm" even though everyone already here lives further away then them! But I digress). Actually until last year (apples own damn fault) most film makers where using Macs (most as in the majority, certainly not all!) and TV production is still heavily skewed towards mac. And your right, I happened to be at a scientific conference last month and everyone at the conference was on a PC. Now all the production staff working the conference where all on macs.

As I said a PC can do my job, but macs do it much more simply and seamlessly, and that's not a small issue. So don't put words into my post.

A computer is just a tool. One of many I use for my job, and I'm sure the same for most people. Macs are better at some things, PC at others. That's why more than one type of computer exists in first place! What truly is baffling to me is the arrogance of so many who do not work in my field, a field dominated by macs, who think they know what tool is best for us to use. Yes, because all these professionals around me with all their experience are on macs so they can look good drinking coffee or some such garbage. Seriously the only thing more arrogant than the whole "you should be on a PC" junk is Apple itself.

What I also don't get is the Mac hate that comes has up every time someone asks CCP to actually put some damn effort into the Mac client. I don't see that mac people telling people they are stupid and shallow for using a PC when a problem crops up with the PC client.
