Those last 2 lines repeat until I hard reboot my computer because eve locks it up.

I have 7 accounts 6 currently active, if you want to continue getting my $$ and the $$ of the other macintosh users you may want to stop ignoring the Mac issues and at least let us know that you are reading the forum where everyone is complaining about them.

How about you actually purchase a real computer to begin with instead of a fashion statement Blink

I'm not trolling. Just making fun of you. This is the wrong forum section for your post, so deal with it.

Looks like an issue with WINE. You probably don't even know that. You can always install Windows next to MacOS without having to buy a computer that's not limited in rgards to upgrading. Bootcamp is an option.

I am not using Wine I am using the EVE Client which runs on Carbon but apparently you didn't even know that.

I could install windows yes if I wanted to spend $200+ for an operating system that I would only use for a game. No. They can fix the problem.

You remember that Snowden revealed that iPhone users are called zombies by the NSA? I wonder what they call the other people who use this overpriced crap.

It's not a fashion statement. The development work I do requires a Mac. It is what I need, so it is what I own.

EVE doesn't run natively on Mac. It uses a wrapper software called WINE, which translates Windows API calls to the platform it's running on.

No. Wine Is Not an Emulator. It's a wrapper. And they all use it, because the client is a windows program.

Source please?

And how dare a company that writes and supports a specific flavor of code to a specific platform be asked to actually *gasp* support it in fixing bugs.

The nerve.

Yes I know it runs on an emulator/wrapper/whatever the **** you want to call it, but the official client that you download does not use Wine it uses Cider.

So until you know what you're talking about you should be quiet.

Installing Wine requires installing Macports. **** THAT. I am not having that piece of **** screw up my unix dependancies thanks.

Except that CCP supports Mac only by chance, because there's WINE. Would make more sense to natively support Linux than Mac... hmmmm, gotta look up market shares. ^^

So why aren't you quiet, as you obviously don't know what you're talking about? It's not me creating an helpless whine thread in the wrong forum section because I have no clue how to fix an issue.

WINE, Cider. Yeah. Same difference, except one focuses more on DirectX.

Self entitled brat. lol

When the EVE Devs ignore the mac forums and don't comment on any of the posts where things are issues then we are going to move it to where someone may actually see we are upset. Wine and Cider are not the same. Similar yes, same no don't be an ass.

Yeah I'm self entitled because I decide to buy a computer I like that doesn't crash (except when I play EVE). Doesn't get attached nearly as much as windows, and has useable software unlike linux. Seems you're the one who thinks they are self entitled.
