Yep, I've lost a few battleships to bad luck and protecting miners, doesn't change the fact that neither of you have a very good grasp of game mechanics when you talk about mining to build capital ships with unboosted ventures in NPC nullsec. The miners you are trying to recruit would be much better off in highsec in mining barges with Orca support just buying the Zydrine and Megacyte they need off the market. It's hard enough building capital ships when you have an infinite supply of ore anoms in sov nullsec; I can't imagine trying to mine the 110 million trit you need for a rorqual in any reasonable timeframe in ventures without boosts or ore anoms.

Hello,

I think there's a few things you need to note before you post replies here buddy.

We said that if we do regular ratting we will get hauler spawns, our last spawn was 50 million m3 of trit and 2.75 million of mexallon. if we continue to rat in groups we will get similar spawns. This is a fact that no-one can dispute. I've actually never purchased large amounts of rare minerals from jita in all my years of playing, the minerals are sourced here in Stain for everything I've built for over 10 years.

With regard to the ventures, they would be used while we get ourselves up and running. Once were in a position to defend miners properly and gather lots of intel on possible attackers we will step it up and use bigger mining ships. On many occasions I've taken taken a couple of guys into wormholes for ABC mining, its a good experience if you got a few guys to help you.

A big part of this venture involves pushing the universe to its limit to see what can be produced. Perhaps you should come down here and spend a week with us to see what we do, I am sure you will be suprised. Try to accept there are lots of different ways to achieve a goal.

People fill this forum with tears of why-oh-why does no one ever leave high sec. Then when someone gives it a shot they are ridiculed for it.

I am glad to see something like this being tried again. He's been nothing if not tenacious over the years in his attempts to get this off the ground.

For what it's worth, Aaron, you have my support in this.

Mr Epeen Cool

Because the "oh why does nobody leave highsec? " really means: "oh why are all those thousands of players not joining my alliance?".

But people going to nullsec without joining large blocs - that's heresy! Why, if you don't sign up, you'll die in two minutes and get podded right back to highsec where your lossmail will appear on a local billboard where you live and all the girls will point and laugh at you.

The lamentation of the forums is never really about the actual problem, just somebody's conquest driven idea of it. Highsec carebears are not bad because they are highsec carebears. They are bad because they are not nullsec carebears helping fortify some alliance cannon fodder number or paying rent on a system and helping fill the coffers.

Totally see the point you're making, although hisec bears are bad because without knowing much about null they insist on scratching up crumbs in hisec, sometimes for years. I met a miner 5yrs old who'd never heard of spodumain. His corp had awarded him a medal for flying around in nullsec for 30 minutes.
Nullbears quietly hoover up miles of everything and make their own T2,T3 everything and capitals. They enjoy the building and take part in pvp as it relates to their endeavours, defending territory, chasing off tourists even counter blops for hilarious results. Bait cyno nightmare best nightmare.
These guys however, seem to be know-it-alls without the wherewithal to do it right. Half baked sort-of NRDS in small ships in NPC null? The worst of lowsec and nullsec situations with none of the benefits of either. A foot in each camp invites a powerful blow to the groin.

PS i didn't mean dotlan for hunting ratters, guys i know watch the ingame starmap. It's a terrible intel tool but it omits fine detail and can't be warped by interested parties. Their aim is to kill huge with tiny, they generally go into sov null but will make an exception for an influx of bads in tiny fragile junk.

I answered you questions, and then I get referred to as a know it all, of course I use other ships, however I use which suits me and my tactics, not something that suits them and their need for kills, if they kill huge with tiny, why would they come here for? And that is the point of it, there is no point it is not worth their while if their goal to to kill huge with tiny. Of course it could be to attack Aaron or me, but the issue for them is that neither Aaron or myself are easy to attack, you might put pressure on some of our newer members, but us no.

If your friends come here we will just deal with them like we deal with anyone else, bore them to irrelevance, in fact because your friends would be so bored they would do us a favour by going after some of the others around here in their desperation for kills, I can see exactly how it would pan out, they would kill your friends, hot drop ally....

What is right, the trick is knowing how to operate so that people don't bother with you and if they do they have no success, if you call that not doing it right then that is your opinion, I think otherwise...

For hunting people you use the in game map and Dotlan, the NPC Delta tool is very good indeed

On another note ratting changes, so today I went back to belt ratting, before the latest patch the system I used was pretty poor, no hauler spawns, a lack of BS and when I got a faction spawn nothing good at all. I may be wrong or imagining things but I have had a lot more BS today, and this weekend one of the guys got the best hauler spawn and today I got a faction spawn which dropped two items worth 350m in total. I hope that CCP have actually improved things and if that is the case I am one happy bunny... Though of course it could just be luck...

Edit: And back to a lack of battleships, oh well wishful thinking on my part in terms of the BS, but that drop was pretty good, fingers crossed the next faction drop is a juicy!

Yeah sry but Aaron tried this a few years ago. We as a corp (Fleet of the damned) even where blue but we left because i was falsely accused of spying by mr Aaron himself. After that it all failed.

So i'm still wishing you guys good luck but experiences in the past sugests failure in the future.

Yeah, it's how i work out the voltage of someone's knowledge, it's called finding the floor. People who really know things will eventually shrug and say they don't know because they see all the variables. People who don't know much have endless answers. It's totally a thing.
I really can't see the point in creeping around null with your head down hoping not to attract attention. Imagining a whole alliance doing it. Activity is impossible to hide, be it pvp, pve or market. Once you've got enough to make it worthwhile, you'll have enough to have taken from you. Leaving three options: NBSI kill everything you can, hook up with a stronger entity and be their peasants, or get your faces stamped out like burning hamsters.
Gonna watch what happens.

That is a really weird answer, if I know something I reply, if I don't know something I will say I don't know, if I have a view on something I will express that view, if not I won't.

What you are suggesting is that at some point we will not be able to operate below the radar. I agree with you but some of the activities can still be carried out under the radar no matter what, but some activtities you cannot hide, but the entity called Hub Zero will become noted by local powers at some point and effort made to stomp on it, that is for certain.

In terms of NBSI, I never understand why people get all excited about this as compared to NRDS, our objective is to develop a relationship with people who want to do their own thing, we can hardly go around blasting people wantonly as the leaders of Hub Zero, though I am not unhappy to have people shooting non-blues if they feel like it, you have to be pragmatic about it. As we get bigger people will look for standings with us because they have too, and perhaps we will be more aggressive in terms of standings, but its not just standings its a mode of operation. How the hell do you know that I don't have relationships with a stronger entity(ies), I can batphone a number of different people, some of who fight each other, but be their peasants no way, some people owe me and others know that at some point people will come after us so they want the opportunity to have fun. As for getting stomped on, well you can't stomp what you cannot catch, and if what you do catch is not worth much, that sure isn't a stomping.

The thing that you seem to miss is that there is a group of Russians here that see Stain as their hunting ground, so along comes some people who are after Hub Zero, well these Russians have a very small blue list and people coming after us will likely find hard hitting Russians exploding over them left right and centre. Those people who were grieflng Aaron linked to Local-Spike came here about 8-9 months ago, started being silly along the pipe and then got hot dropped and lost all their ships, was funny and yet we don't die to them, because we know who they are and how they operate and how to defeat their tactics.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

I was there the last time, I am sure you remember me, and that failure was around continued dram from local spike, disagreements with other leadership level people and AOV and certain others deciding to drive Aaron out of UF-KKH. The Fleet of Damned left just as I arrived.

Local-Spike are nothing much and are in fact largely inactive, one of them was even begging Aaron to come back to UF-KKH so they could revitalise themselves with Anti-Aaron fun, was feeble to say the least. Aaron detailed their tactics earlier in the thread, they gate camp to get easy kills, they will not risk an open fight now that they don't have AOV and Dalv to back them up, in fact when we left UF-KKH, it was AOV and Dalv who forced us out, Local-Spike hardly did anything.

Hello Brutal,

Thanks you for your best wishes, I hope Azran, Ketershly, yourself and others are all well.

I can remember there being an oddness about you Brutal and I felt that you had inquired as to my whereabouts way too many times which looked odd, you always wanted to know where I was but made no attempt to pve with me or actually do anything with me. I also lost a couple of haulers where you had found the hauler spawn and invited me to haul them.

After I had said I wasn't prepared to work with you I believe you joined fleet of the damned which put a strain on my relations with FOTD because I didn't trust you. Shortly after FOTD left my alliance and went to sov space and you went with them.

The issue is here Brutal if you were a spy or not that was irrelevant, you had an odd feeling about you and I couldn't be sure of your intentions which was enough for me to not want to work with you.

I'd say there isn't much point in you dropping by because I'm still not going to work with you or set you blue to my corp. I won't aggro you first out of the respect i had for FOTD. What is your reason for wanting to drop by anyway?

Maybe i'ts best for you to just move on from this Brutal, I think you came on this forum looking to sully my name and tell everyone what a failure you think I am. Grow up and move on man.

I wish you lots of luck in the future, take care.

Yeah that could be a problem for others as well. You not having good feelings without any reason or proof wil get alot more people in trouble. Makes the whole trip to stain (which is quite dangerous) not seem worthwhile when in a few days youre a suspect for no reason.

And asking for someones whereabouts is quite normal if you wanna do stuff with them regardless of actually doing it.

You have past history with us and Aaron feels that you are 'suspect', therefore we decided that we did not want you as part of Hub Zero, because I was also aware of you and remembered the posts you made on the previous thread.

Your reply here indicates that you are just having a dig, if you really did have real reasons to say that was not the case a private convo would have done the job with Aaron, not an attack post, did you realise that his post was a test, and you failed it. You are now set -10 and I will shoot you on sight.

EDIT: Now I see why you think Local-Spike are active, the Crane loss to Muffcob and Dreldor and two others who are new to me. Dreldor is the only one in Local-Spike who is even remotely active and as you can see that is their gate camp style, I took two toons through it yesterday by the way.

its not the going to live in stain bit that gets me. This is normal/fine.
its that he wants to do it without using a corp or alliance to organize it, and run it as NRDS, and then go MINING.
He should just throw everyone in an alliance, be typical NBSI, try to negotiate standings normally with other residents or set them red, and then probably pvp/pve as normal. But stop talking about mining in space that can neither be secured or upgraded, and stop talking about making it just like hisec. And good god, don't express surprise that people aren't lining up in ventures to go mine veldspar in stain.

Its not the idea itself that's bad. Its just that the way Aaron has presented it and the words he's chosen make the idea and himself seem foolish and naive, even if he and the idea are not actually foolish and naive. Generally I try not to follow people that leave me with that impression.

If his pitch was, "hey everybody, I'm going to make an alliance and we're going to live in stain and make a crapton of money and pvp when necessary. I've got someone to cover logistics, I know the area pretty well. Vets, rookies, pvpers, explorers, miners, and industrialists welcome," I probably would have said "sign me up."

Instead the pitch was "I have a vision for turning npc stain into a utopian hisec. The belts are untouched, it'll be awesome. Also, we're NRDS so you don't even have to join, just show up. I have no idea why people think this is a bad idea." He then got written off by most of his target audience and then trolled for a dozen pages.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.
