OP, ignore the apologists. No rational person would be happy to see the price of anything rocket by 30%.

No one is "apologising".

Some people are trying to explain how a market works and that prices are high because people are paying them.

Is everyone happy about this? Of course not. But you can bet your bottom dollar that there are a lot of players doing very nicely indeed out of the current situation
