Not knowing what a proteus was at the time, when I two-shotted the shields I got excited and burnt in to finish him off. Lowsec sucks. There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

About halfway through, I'll remember to actually check local, which as it turns out is usually empty. It's disappointing to actually know you when you are all alone in a system.
