You could ask the GMs for assistance: open the Help menu (F12), select "Create New Support Request". I think the appropriate category will be something like "Missions" (I'm rushing in to help without bothering to open the EVE client on my decrepit old laptop).

Since you're a rookie, doing the rookie missions, the chances are quite high that if you ask nicely the GMs will reset the mission for you or at least give you the item you lost.

If the petition doesn't succeed, you might have some luck asking around for someone else who still has the pass key. Maybe they will loan it or sell it to you?

There is also the option of starting the quest series again from a different career agent, and using the pass key that they give you to finish the first mission that you lost the key for.

There is, as the saying goes, more than one way to skin a cat!

F12 -> support ticket -> ask for a mission reset. The GMs are very good about resetting tutorial missions for new players, very fast at it usually too.

I just want to stress the condition.
GMs usually do that for rookies and very quickly. But don't get into the habit of it, because once you are "grown up" you will be on your own. Losing a mission item in a non-tutorial mission usually means that you have to fail the mission, which has consequences (ranging from a standing loss for a normal mission to blocking you forever from the follow-up missions for COSMOS missions).
