Live action show, and merchandising the hell out of it, and by extension EVE, would be the best way to not only educate prospective players about the game before ever even logging in, but a potential cash-cow revenue for CCP.

ya know, since JJ Abrams seems intent on turning star trek into "mcsplodey noplot" and disney wants to make Jar Jar the hero of the seventh SW movie all about searching for the princess and fighting the evil dragon.

there are alot of screenshots that used to float around of avatars in station with a bunch of overly sci-fi looking skinsuits. think there was an imgur album of the photos. all concept **** but ya know, was still cool to look at.

Well let's start by going over the things it's probably not since they don't really "go with" the countdown concept.

1: Increasing infrastructure strength (Wooo less Tidi, but that's not exactly something people will understand up front)

2: EVe Valkyrie : Highly doubtful. There would probably have been something leaked by now, and the oculus rift is not near complete.

3: New expansion. The next expansion is far off in the summer time, usually they only announce the official name of the expansion and trailer AFTER we have seen a lot of the content dumped on Sisi

4:WIS : WIS is not something they would just introduce out of the blue. Knowing CCP's new methods of balancing a few ships and calling it an expansion, even a PART of WIS would be reserved as a whole expansion in and of itself.

5: Another plex sale. They've not advertised PLEX sales in the past like this, and they probably won't start now.

6: Anything DUST related. It's on the EVE site, not the dust.

Now let's look at the things it is most likely to be.

1: A new trailer. Trailers have been introduced mid-production cycle before (between expansions)

2: something else.

Does the Rift by now have a final release date? I couldn't seem to find one, only vague mumbo jumbo about some summer or such and maybe the price is 499USD or maybe not... It's infuriating. Ugh

I'd actually refuse to play Valkyrie without one. Just saying.
