I found my first data site yesterday (a ***** to scan down btw) I only allowed one container to self destruct and flew away with ~5mil in data chips, Hydrogen Cells, Carbon, etc. Which I think is a pretty good haul for my first time but above all, I just wanted to say that there is more than just wormholes and combat sites.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

I would like to say there is no eve outside of wormhole, blatant lie...

I don't know the first thing about these data sites so I need to ask something.

I'm pretty sure I've seen them pop up occasionally as greens. Doesn't that mean you can warp directly in with no scan? Or am I confusing what I see with a different type of site?

5 million from one relic in high sec ? No. You did not.

I got a faction tower blueprint from a highsec site once. So blegh.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Data and Relic sites have to be scanned, they are Cosmic Signatures the green ones are mostly combat sites, ice belts and ore sites. They are known as Cosmic Anomalies

I'm pretty sure that is it, correct me if I'm wrong.

I did, and I was just pulling in random cans until I figured that some were more valuable than others. Data Container > Scraps Container

5 mil from a high sec Data site is on the high side, but happens quire often. 5 mil form a high sec Relic site is quite rare.

Which is odd as at one time I remember CCP saying they wanted exploration to be a more lucrative profession than mission running. After all even in high sec you are competing with other players when you explore (unlike missions) so it should pay better. But high sec exploration is poor relative to missions.

Improve your payout by equipping a cargo scanner. Most times parts is the best can to go for.

How would that work? You scan the scatter container?

Would be alot better if these sigs and anoms ALL had to be scanned down... you know, like before when it made Scanning require effort and a certain knack with probe deployment that came with experience.

Yet another part of EVE that is no longer part of the "Learning Cliff " but has been dumbed down to the "Bunny Hill" level of difficulty.

WHs are good for 2 things imho: Camping entrances to lowsec one jump from empire, and catching people with their pants down in encounter sites and gravametrics.

That is all.

Use a cargo scanner on the object you are going to hack into, before the tiny cans explode out. That way you can see what type of good loot there is to be had. for example. I scan the object and it has T1 / T2 salvage so i know to only get "parts" and "materials".

The only exception is Ghost Sites - they show up as green combat anomalies but require hacking to get the loot (with no spew!).

Very, very useful to have a cargo scanner in Ghost Sites as you rarely get a chance to hack a second can.

One in a million does not trump the reality of the lameness of the Relic Loot. What a dweeb.

Such attitude, and nothing to support it and no proof, whatsoever. But glad you got your Forum Jollies out of the way this morning.

Good Luck.
