Confirmed same issue happening here. Running dual 7850's on Win 8.1 x64. Crossfire is enabled.

Rest of the system

AMD FX 8 Core
12gb Memory
500GB SSHD

Running dual monitors, only ever running one client at a time, no other graphic intensive programs running simultaneously

I have an AMD Radeon 7850 graphics card and am having issues with the crashing. I have been freaking out thinking something is wrong with my card. I'm glad it is just a code issue. Any idea on when it will be fixed?

OS Windows 7 (Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601)
Processor AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor, 3500 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 6 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB

Hey you know what would be great?

If you'd fix this already. Because my launcher crashes on load and if I bypass it the game loads in DX11. The repair tool does nothing. Pretty fed up with this ****.

Nice setup you got. Gave me an idea for my upgrade.

Just BTW: EVE is UNFLYABLE right now... just so you know...

We have identified a probable cause for AMD drivers crashing and will have a fix in a patch on Monday. It does fix the repro case we had inhouse, and we've been testing on other setups and so far have not seen any fallout from that fix.

In the meantime some players have reported better stability with lower quality settings, in particular you should try to turn anti-aliasing off. There are mixed reports of this, but it's worth trying lower settings if you experience frequent driver crashes.

it's monday after downtime, any news when the patch will be ready?

So much for Monday patch... :( No patch, no fix, crashes continue. The last crash was five minutes ago. It will be at least one week with unplayable game. I am paying for five active accounts I can't even play with. I am not rage quitting, but this is the worst experience I have had with any MMO. :(

Just to give you guys an update - we do have an inhouse repro of a driver crash and are working on a fix (or a workaround, rather - this does smell like a driver bug).

Hopefully we'll have something soon - I'll keep you posted.

Seriously? It just amazes me that CCP Devs have the cheek to call this a driver bug, when it was working perfectly well before the Patch.

A fantastic piece of buck passing there guys. Awesome stuff, carry on.

Okay that's frustrating. I've already lost ships and pods to this unfortunate issue and I was really hoping that the promised fix would materialise.

Come on CCP, your adoring public need some dev hugs.

I was looking forward to this monday patch too. Sad to see nothing for monday. I have to say this is a pain in the ass bug. I crashed 11 times yesterday flying my stratios. Run time error causes some kind of abnormal evefile.exe issue. I was trying to help some buddies but can't do **** because I crash every time I go into warp or out of warp or warp any which way you can imagine.

Thankfully my exotic chicks are working hard to keep me satisfied in my pod...

CCP I'm going to assume you didn't released it because your fix broke something else didn't it. Blink

A driver bug can indeed be uncovered by what appears to be a routine update, the Catalyst drivers are known to have quite a few bugs in their 'stable' releases right now.

That said... I currently have a lot of assets trapped in stations we lost control of Evil. Thanks to being unable to play due to this bug.

I have created a petition and hope CCP will respond... dealing with bugs is one thing. Losing access to in game assets due to a bug is another.

Got lucky and didn't lose my Proteus when EVE crashed the first time on me with this bug at least ShockedBig smile

If it's a driver bug then how come the micro-patch to fix the standings overview in chats is what has caused it ?
How come various NVidea users are also experiencing odd issues ?
It's affecting both DX11 and DX9

I've now been through multiple versions of my gpu's drivers and the issue persists.

Before you blame drivers... look at what you changed and see what bit causes it.
It's standard debug procedure.

Currently unable to do anything except sit in station due to fear of the exefile.exe error.

You'd receive more respect for honesty than passing the buck.

(At the same time if somehow it is a driver bug I will gladly give an apology... I truly doubt it is though)

If it moves.... You obviously didn't kill it the first time.

Here are my settings, they work for me where the DX9 "fix" didnt, no more crashes until CCP gets their act together:

Turn all effects off, except turrets and launchers.

Ressource cache off.
HDR off.
Antialiasing off.
Post Processing off.

Everything else is at your discretion, got em all on high here.

Not a single crash in 2 days.

Cheers!

After a whole week of unplayable game i'm still waiting for 1st reply to a reimbursement petition i submitted on 30-01.
I can understand that fixing a driver bug may take some time and i'm sure you are working hard on it, but the customer service it's
taking a bit too long to answer @ least for the experience i've from 7 years of eve online.

also expirienced yesterday eve online client crashes with windows BSOD (2 times) on my ATI 7770 after jumping gate and taking align to warp.
bluescreenviewer says it hanged in:
atikmpag.sys
dxgkrnl.sys
dxgmms1.sys

Well, I was recommended in fleet to lower my settings and all went ok - no crushes, BUT, there was cool fight afterwards and you know - eve seems on lower settings like ****, especially smart bombs explosions, SO, not cool CCP, not cool. Please - fix it as soon as possible :-): compare here

Couldn't do it Friday. Can't do it today. Care to inform us why? A portion of your subscriber base will have lost a week of gameplay by the time you get around to fixing a mistake you never should have made. At the least you OWE an explanation.
