I've looked through the WH guides and none seem to answer this question. Most of what I found there was common sense and/or you learn it pretty quickly.

What I want to know though is if there's anything you can do to help maintain the various sigs and anoms in your WH system. As I understand it, and please correct me if this is crap or no longer works that way, if you farm your WH too much it'll stop spawning things...you'll get one or two sites and that's it, you have to move or stop farming to get it to come back.

With that in mind, is there anything you can do while farming the WH system's sites that will slow the decay of spawn rates so that your WH remains profitable for the longest period of time?

My understanding, what I'd been told, is that they spawned but it would be in a different system.

Is that a load of crap?

The best thing to do is get a wh with another wh as it's static. That way you can farm your static and not the wh where you live. If your static has no sites to run, just roll it and get a new one.

All signatures are shared within a constellation. All wormholes are assigned to constellations. If you happen to live in a constellation that happens to have a lot of vacant holes, the anoms can remain "trapped" in those vacant holes for up to 4 days each if memory serves. Since you are actively killing your signatures, that is why it seems your "Stop spawning". As mentioned above, find a hole with a static.

It works with the first trigger rest is correct. Basically it makes only sense if you run capital escalations.

Lots of theories. One of them is that they respawn on constellation, which seems unlikely given some constellations are particularly active and they do not enjoy any more sites than other systems in other constellations that are less active. The more appealing, and often believed theory is that there is a limited number of total sites and they move around within their own wormhole class (C5 sites that despawn will move to a new C5 within a minute). This would explain why we see new sites through-out the day, instead of the old method where they only appeared after down-time (this was mostly my experience in high-sec, pre wormholes).

However it works, don't be afraid to farm your own sites; clean them up and then go PVP for a few days while you wait for respawns. We tend to warp to anomalies in empty C5/C5 black holes to "move them around." Think of it as "pouring some out for your homies."

Some friends and I moved into a Class 1 a couple weeks ago. We did the 5-6 combat anoms that were there and we didn't see but maybe 1-2 spawns over the course of 6-7 days. We decided to move out to find a better WH for PI and a higher class. Almost as soon as we had moved everything out of the WH 7-8 combat anoms spawned.

I've heard that CCP didn't anticipate people 'moving' into a WH, and they still don't cater to it because of the original intent to just make WH something to explore. Perhaps there's a higher chance to have site spawn in a less active WH than a more active one based on player activity or based on the number of POS's in that WH.

Anytime we go into a WH that has only a couple of towers, and little to no player activity, those WH's have 10+ sites. I realize some of you might say "Since no one is active there of course the sites spawn and just collect there." but who's to say that 10 sites weren't cleared just 24 hours before? Additionally, it seems the common method of WH money making is to do your neighbors sites first. So, if everyone is doing this method, wouldn't ALL WHs, including seemingly inactive ones be void of combat sites?

I do agree with the idea that every time a site is completed it spawns somewhere in the same region/constellation, I'm just saying, there seems to be a higher chance of combat sites spawning in a WH with less towers/player activity.
