Battleship-Stacks starting to deplete?

Hey everyone,

was just browsing the market and noticed that a few battleships are profitable (again?).

Namely:
Apocalypse
Raven
Megathron
Dominix
Hyperion
Typhoon
Maelstrom

The Armageddon still sucks completely to make (probably the most commonly built battleship for the stockpiles together with Dominixes). Dominixes obviously had an increased demand recently so thats probably why they catched up earlier.

The not mentioned BSes are mostly at the edge of becoming profitable again.

Do I miss something such as that not every Battleship-Hull was mass-produced before tiericide? This is the first time I have looked at battleship-prices in a long long time so I don't know.

Long story short: Do you expect a rise in mineral prices due to battleship-production rising (coming together with those beautiful dread losses Twisted )?

In the first Phase of your post, do you refer to

  • A. market sell and buy orders,
  • B. market data for transaction rates or
  • C. both?

As for the battleship-prices reference you mention, are you implying, as per above, A., B. or C.?

As for the mineral prices (due to ...), are you implying, as per above, A., B. or C.?

I know one investor who is keeping tag(s) on Trit values and related investment funds.
(Not that I'm selling information on it.)

(Btw, for those asking questions about profit in EVE, third party programs like EVE Mogul - Profit Tracking & More [R-1.0.0] are designed for that. Also, as the name and description suggests, & More. This may also refer to more enjoyably fun profit that is.!. ty)

Pricing scheme on how to determine wether BS are profitable: Minimum Sell price on both (So equals buying Minerals from Sell orders and selling battleships via your own sell order).

Of course it could be argued that selling BS via sell orders is trade profit and not manufacturing profit.

Prices have spiked because of a recent price spike of Mexallon. Look at the market history to see how the one led to the other. Overall, hull prices have only increased .6% over the past week, but margins have increased to 6-7%, all because of a supply shortage of a single material. My Eve Production Manager introduction video explains this dynamic at about the 11:45 mark. When EPM spotted the spike, it automatically increased minimum hull prices to 6.1% before the sell order prices moved. When the sell orders dried up, my stacks sold out as well, and I got 20% more profit as a result.

Hmm, maybe I should create a business rule predicting volume increases before they occur. Smile

I haven't had time to monitor Mexallon baskets, but has there been refining due this spike?

When the nullsec ores had their low-ends boosted in Odyssey, mex got left out. My experience mining in nullsec post-Odyssey (both with and without ihub upgrades) is that the limiting factor for construction has become mex.

Continuing to deplete Big smile

Abaddon, Apoc, Raven and Tempest producers have been sporadically crapping out over the past couple weeks, and my deep stacks have been stepping up to capture 50-70% more profit time and again. As said previously, I've been parking my stacks above the chasers -- Drakes were selling at a loss today, I was so tempted to flip the seller -- and as Pyerite etc continue to be in short supply I expect the hilarity to continue.

Eve Production Manager introduces concepts on how to exploit supply-side shortages that your competition encounters -- and strategies to avoid falling into the same trap, and has been in beta for a few weeks. I'm working through my beta list one at a time to ensure a quality experience, and would like to pick up a few more.

Contact me in game.
