They used to exist, something about them being heavily spammed and they were removed or something.

This has been brought up a few times, one example of which is Another scarmble drone thread.

I myself believe this feature would be extemely overpowered, being able to have any ship use points that reach 60kms will be a nightmare, not to mention if people use drone assist on fast lockers without any true tradeoff just sounds broken to me. You should need a specialist ship with some serious isk investment in it to pull off that trick, not a few cheapy drones. (if there were such drones nobody would bother with those shiny ships anyway, another downer).
