I do not have any of those files and folders in my EFT unzip folder.
- Using 2.21.1, Windows 7.
- I have multiple characters and fittings saved.
- It all works fine when i launch EFT.exe from the unzip folder, but there are no "Characters" and "Setups" folders anywhere.
- Yes, i have double checked that this is in fact the location that i use to launch EFT from.
- Unzipping new EFT to a different folder does not show any characters or fittings.
- I have my EFT in "%PROGRAMFILES%" which generally requires elevated permissions to create new folders. I am not running EFT with elevated permissions (it all worked fine, why would i).

Where is it possibly saving those folders then? I've tried looking in the %APPDATA% and %TEMP% but couldn't find anything that looked related to EFT

What are the odds of getting a non-sketchy DL link? I would like to update to Rubicon 1.1 data, but I can't bring myself to trust either of those sites far enough to download from them.

That would probably be my fault as I've currently disabled uploads while I have EVE-Files in recovery mode. I'll send Gripen a PM about how to get that sorted in the sekrit way P

Nestor is in there. It's on the bottom of battleships group. If it's not for you make sure you've updated properly.

C:\Users\[loginname]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\[EFT folder name]

If you intent to continue storing EFT in Program Files you don't need to move anything - just delete old version and extract new one to the same path.

Hi Gripen,

first of all many thanks for creating and maintaing this fantastic tool. EFT has been a great help for me to better understand the fitting mechanics and its fun to play around and come up with better fittings for my ships all the time. I especially like the DPS graph that helps me to understand the effect of various modules on my applied DPS.

There is one feature however that I am missing and which lets me switch back and forth between EVE and EFT while I am doing my fittings. That is the compare tool in EVE where you can compare stats for similar modules. It would be fantastic if EFT would have a similar feature. Since you already got all data in the tool, the only thing missing would be a compare window to show it.

I don't know if its always been this way, or new for 2.22, or even if it's new for TODAY, because i could have sworn it wasn't this way when i went to bed last night.

For some reason the claymore is showing a base speed without any modifiers of 21 m/s...

The only thing i did differently last night was have it set as a fleet booster for itself and other ships, i hadn't been doing this before yesterday. Maybe closing the program while having it set that way screwed up in speed? Maybe other stats are screwed too just not as obviously?

Small problem I've had with EFT recently... the background for the symbols representing modules/slots are black, and when holding down the left mouse button and dragging modules over to the slots, the cursor lags incredibly, blinking on and off while I move it around "holding" the module.

Using Windows 7 as you can see... this used to happen sometimes; maybe like every three new EFT updates? This is a completely fresh one here though, btw.

I'm going to 3rd this...those two sites are far beyond sketchy....

I don't feel like it would be useful for most players: progression of T1 => Meta1-3 => Meta4 and T2 => Faction => Deadspace/Officer is pretty much the same for all modules and once you get a gist of it you don't need such extensive comparison options.

"Base speed" would be one you read from Show Info window opened from Fitting Panel once you find Claymore there. And it can't be 21 m/s and you can't screw it up in any way as EFT never writes to the files where this data is contained.

So I assume you have some setup opened and if it still shows you such speed even after you restart EFT it must be because of something you have fitted... like a cloak maybe. Provide a screenshot it you still can't figure it out.

Try "Force high-color icons" option in Preferences. Also if you run on 16-bit color depth try switching to 32-bit. It is known issue that some systems have troubles displaying icons with transparency but I have no other workarounds if those two won't help.

Works fine for me. For mass reduction to apply there should be no script in Warp Disruption Field Generator.

I know that some people lose their temper if they can't instantly download 2mb file once a month but what's the problem with second link giving you one click instant full speed download? To Almost29: There are no plans currently for auto update of any kind.

Never mind, the second link is fine. I remember it being sketchier last night, but I was pretty drunk and the first link scared me pretty badly Lol Thanks for maintaining this awesome tool.

Hi Gripen, first time giving feedback, but let me begin to say thanks, been using eft since I play Eve, and must also thank further because lately you've reduced the delivery time on new updates quite much, and thats something -I think- we all appreciate much Big smile


The issue I'm having is that EFT doesnt generate .cfg files for the Astero, the Stratios nor the Nestor.

To link the fittings i had to generate xml files, i cannot send the raw text through evemail so my mates can copy paste it directly into their eft.

Is there a way to save fittings with EFT? Ctrl+S doesn't seem to work and fittings disappear all the time. Sometimes certain fittings save but then others disappear entirely.
Am I doinitwrong or is there an issue with EFT not saving fits??

I have a rather annoying problem with the current version (v 2.22).

The little red or green "icon" that shows whether you have the necessary skills or not is not working for me. Normally a "mouse over" will show the missing skills.

On my Windows 7 computer the tooltip is blank. The size of the tooltip seems to be scaled properly but it's completely blank.

I've tried googling a bit. Only found this post (it shows the blank tooltip) :
