Well OP, incase you didn't know CCP did plan to do some kind of in-station gameplay but they never followed through.

You see, during eve fanfest, CCP shows players cool concepts and plans for eve but we never actually get the. The year before last, we were shown how the ships were going to show visual damage the their models and asteroids that collide and shatter. And two years later... Nothing.

Don't forget the atmospheric flight demo? I mean where the **** is that?

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

I don't know...CCP refocusing on real Eve content after the Summer of Rage to save their game seems pretty pragmatic to me.

Except the summer of rage had **** all to do with WiS Rhes. We've asked you to prove that assertion before, but you can't. We've linked the original thread-naught to you to show what people were actually complaining about, we've shown dev blogs where CCP apologise for everything ELSE except their WiS ideal. When it comes down to the 'Eve development was neglected for two years' for WiS bull ****, Tippia linked the original article where CCP said they were going to be spending 18 months on ... wait for it... back end changes, maintenance, engine development and balancing. That sound familiar to you?

It must make you mad that I'm right all the time. It might be time to take a break from the Internet if you can't discuss things like an adult.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

You will never get that...that...sanity...., not from people who think walking around on legs will in some magical way make a game (that features faster than light interstellar travel in star ships piloted by immortals) "better" lol. Even worse is that they will try to paint YOU (the guy who likes the space ships in a sace ships game) as somewhat wacky and out of touch....

For some people, up actually is down.

Given that MMOs with Avatars have more players than any of any other type I think your the insane one. Because everyone else is wrong, right?

This is a great idea. Last time though CCP caved under the pressure of individuals that lack understanding of what makes games enjoyable, which is having many unique ways to play them. Games need novelty injected into them, but novelty is hard for a lot of people.

A lot of people in here saying 'No one wants avatar gameplay', in a thread filled with people saying they want avatar content.

I think a great deal of people who think Avatar content is a bad idea think that on the basis that they believe anything CCP deliver in future will be like the CQ, pointless and devoid of content with no impact on the rest of the Eve universe. An understandable concern, sure, but that's not really what people are asking for. They're asking CCP for content. Content that impacts Eve, that is fun, replayable, profitable, risky, variable and deap.

I think CCP can achieve that, and CCP seem to think so too. They are, after all, developing an Avatar game with those aims as we speak.
