"Never trust a Goon."

This was told to me on day one... by a Goon.

Or to put it another way:

"You can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest." - Cpt. Jack Sparrow

So you could say in a sense I do trust Goons. I trust them to ruin everything for everyone at every opportunity. That is their game plan. Their mission statement. Their purpose in life. And they're quite proud of it, too.

And, in this sense, they actually (accidentally?) do some good, because it helps keep these sort of people all grouped under a single banner. If it weren't for Goons I'd probably have to put a hundred different corps on my watch list, and that would be too much work, dangit. I like the simple, honest & unfocused malice towards all life in the universe that they offer. I mean, why hate just some things when you can hate everything? It's unbiased, and I can appreciate that.

I mean wouldn't it be great if every mugger and thug in your neighborhood wore a big neon sign over their head that said "BAD PERSON - STAY AWAY?" See, that would actually kind of reduce crime, now wouldn't it? It's actually a courtesy. Let's you know that, hey, this person is bad and you should probably stay away from them.

So of all the lying, cheating, backstabbing misanthropes of EvE... Goons are my favorite. Sincerely. Because they're so evil that it's actually kind of nice, in a twisted kind of way.
