Gnosis for Lvl 3-4 missions?

Before starting to throw rocks, please read below

I'm a farily well trained Caldari/Gallente pilot who recenlty moved to Amarrian space, which if I am correct means I'll be facing Blood Raiders in missions (feel free to correct me).

I have good skills with Heavy Missiles and Drones, so I can run Lvl 3 and some Lvl 4's fairly easily with a Drake. However, since its bonus is for Kinectic damage, I think my DPS efficiency would be a bit lower.

I don't intend to train for other weapon systems or ship types on the short run, so I tought of using the Gnosis as it has bonuses that are unrelated to the battlecruiser skill or damage type. I know it is a rare ship that may attract gankers but the prices are fairly low now.

My draft fit is something like this (no access to EFT now):

5x Heavy Missile Launcher II

Experimental 10MN MWD
3x LSE II
1x Limited 'Flavor 1' field I
1x Limited 'Flavor 2' field I

2x BCS II
2x DDA II
Co-Processor II
Overdrive Injector II

Rigs: 3x Core Defence Shield Extender I

This lead me to 40~45K EHP against Blood Raiders damage type and ~550DPS. I don't remember the Drake EHP but it is the standard passive shield regen tank with 470DPS for kinetic missiles.

How bad is this idea?
(You may throw rocks if you want now, but please aim at the Gnosis)

Amarr has two NPC types, sansha and Blood Raider, so it depends on which region you're in within Amarr space. They both have, more or less, similar resist types though. Having said that, why not upgrade to a Raven? It doesn't have the kinetic only issue a Drake or Tengu has, runs lvl 4 just fine even though you'll need some extra attention because of the shield tank.

That was my natural progression path when I was running missions regularly, but now it's more of a part time job. The raven would also hurt my iskies more then I'd like. I'd manage to replace it once but not more than that. I also don't think I have enough skills for it other then tank (Maybe Torpedoes III and Caldari BS I, but I don't remember) and my skill queue is a bit busy for it now.

Is the Raven good enough at Caldari BS III? I'm still grinding standings for lvl 4s so my finances might be a bit better when I reach them.

yes, it is a bad idea. but you are welcome to try it out. i'll be sure to stock the gnosis market in amarr.

I should buy an Ishtar.

You're out of luck, I wouldn't do that again if it didn't work past the second time, at most

But you are welcome to try it out too :P

Edit: and I never pay for overpriced stuff Cool

With a 50% kinetic bonus, the drake is indeed a poor choice here.

Use a Navy drake.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

If you want to do lvl 4 missions then a BC of any kind really doesn't give you the dps and range to make it worthwhile, so it "pays" to invest in a ship that's at least decently good at it. Not saying the Raven is amazing (it isn't) but it's reliable, versatile and easy to use on low SP. Don't use torps on a Raven because that'll be bad but use Cruise instead and, generally, you're best off using a cap boosted fit like this. If you get cpu issues simply replace 4th BCS with a co-pro.
