Wow James it has been almost a year since the WH community has heard from you or seen you post on forums, are elections this close already?

I appear in times of great strife.

To agree with the strife? tsk tsk tsk

Right now I'm most likely going to advise CCP to add the same anchor distance limitation as exists for stations. Other options would be to disallow anchoring in wspace entirely, or to turn off the local broadcasting, but I like the fact that I can drop one at the star and anyone dumb enough to warp to it has just announced themselves in local.

This is why I don't post much.Ugh

Why? because all you can do is regurgitate the bleeding obvious fixes which are apparent to absolutely everyone, and run the line that just because something is in game means "emergent gameplay"? Or maybe you have nothing to contribute to any debate at all.

Triple-web vindi bumps were in-game and a tactic emerged which allowed a naughty boy to gank jump freighters on undock.

I think the ability to anchor POSes in wspace should be removed. That was never intended by the devs and who needs emergent gameplay anyways.

Was it really a mistake, or were they just waiting for us to completely rage?

Hate to stir a pot that ha settled but this issue was stated in post number 5 on Jan 8.

So much moaning and bitching, I could make a boat and sail in the sea of tears.
If the existence of the ESS kills your pvping ability in wspace, then you should probably ragequit eve because you're terrible at this game.
Wspace pilots used to be hardy group of people who choose the hardest possible life in eve, laughing at hardship and danger. Now we have a bunch of whiny bitches who cry like nullbears when a bugged release, that barely affects wspace pvp, takes them out of their comfort zone.

if there is a gm or a dev on sisi, you should be able to load up a hauler with what you want to test, or a probe ship and asked to be moved to a specific WH system. They move people around empire space all the time, if you had a valid reason it should not be to difficult to nicely ask to be moved to system j111111 or whatever

They don't... Trust me, I tried and asked and they weren't very polite about it either.

Just an additional note on this; the GM team will be removing any ESSes that have been anchored next to a wormhole and returning them to the deployer if they are reported. This will hopefully deal with the issue until the fix mentioned by Fozzie can be deployed.

These seem made for anchoring at a poco...

I am still looking for the rubicon. Whatever it is we are crossing has yet to wet my ankles.

thats not the point keith. its a 30 km bubble and broadcasts who you are in local.... its broken

It is the point...
It's cheaper and more efficient to use a real bubble and listen to the hole on an alt
It's 25mil and cant be recovered so it's not like you can move them from wormhole to wormhole.

It's just a slightly more convenient and expensive but less effective method of watching for Gankers.

If those bears you tried to Gank had a large bubble and a scout on the hole you wouldn't have killed them.

You won't see these on holes any more frequently then you'll see large bubbles.

So what exactly is it breaking?

Because human error is more common than system error. Sometimes people won't catch the wh sound, but you will NEVER miss a ESS broadcast in local. It gives ratters/miners 100% security.

The ESS won't help anyone in their wh when a PvP raiding fleet rolls their static and warps straight to their mining fleet as they failed to notice the extra sig on d scan because of human error.

Well CCp accidentaly invented an useful new deployable the Mobile Early warnign Receiver. Just make it work exactly like that.. but without the bubble..... and costing 100M isk.

OK.. now you can remove local from low sec and 0.0.

The thing is there isnt supposed to be broadcasts in wormhole space. it defies the lore. People Jumping through the gates is what registers them in local. with no gates there's no local. With no local there's no broadcasts

im pertaining to the in game physics of broadcasts. im assuming local would just be inter ship communication. mmmmmm Roleplaying
