Me personally I am quite happy flying nothing more powerful than a Battle Ship or a SB.

Either play the game or quit... Whatever...

Seconded.

That's pretty much how it should work. Twisted

I used to agree with that view but i got to say that as i'm aproaching 9 years of playing this game, and have practically every skill i want to train to lvl 5 done(almost 140 skills), or well trained(150+ skills to lvl 4), and the sight of hitting 200 million skill points isn't that far away anymore, having the best implants and plenty of isk....Heck all 4 titan skills are maxed out, that end game feels a lot closer these days.
What end-game? What is it you're getting closer to?

Where the OP goes off the track is that he is blubbing about how supercaps are the end-game and that by balancing them, the end-game is broken. That is pure nonsense. End-game is about content — a ship is not content; it's just a tool; it's the sand in the sandbox. The end-game is the castle or tunnel or canals or the complex freeway system you build with that sand. At best, the collection of different grains of sand might be seen as an end-game, but in that case, the individual grains are not particularly relevant so his QQing about them being balanced is silly anyway.

Then i guess i'm getting to the end of the available content as a whole, not just a specific ship or a single objective.....There isn't anything left that particularly interests me left to aim for, but i guess that eventually happens after nearly 9 years of playing, even though it's a shame that there's so much potential left in the storyline of the game and it hasn't been touched since the game was released in 2003.

And that's fair enough, and even understandable, but that is something quite different from there being an “end game” that you can (or must) reach.

I can fully understand that, after that time, you've become bored with the things that you find interesting about the game — after all :18 months:… we have seen little in the way of new content. On the other hand, I would argue that this only further belies the OP's point: what they're doing (or trying to, at least) is trying to squeeze some new different content out of what's already there — they're changing the game from poker to bridge… and your issue is that you're tired of card games.

OP;

Using an alt to brag about winning a fail thread makes it even more fail than the last 7 fail threads whining about the nerf.

But by all means fail away....

Why do people tend to assume that this character is someone else's alt? This is my main. This is my only character. Please, try again.

Because only the OP would be silly enough to think the OP won anything.

My suggestion?

Start over. Create a new character, a new identity completely. Only 2 rules:

1) You cannot connect with anyone you currently know in Eve
2) You cannot assist your new character with your current main or alts.

This character you have to be self-sufficient. You have to edge out that fitting because you can't afford the PG implant. Do missions in a T1 cruiser because you can't afford a BC, and panic because you can't tank them.

Engage in PvP with a T1 rifter where you have no implant sets or level V skills to give you the edge.

Start over and try it again.

Not a diplo.

The above post was edited for spelling.

Ah, I see. You've responded to the wrong thread.

You see, in this thread, the OP is providing the tears and rage, and thus lose. Hell, he lost before he even posted. Lol

This guy is totally a Mittani alt. No other explanation best fits the OP's senseless dribble.

I wouldn't call it boring per se, more like lack of direction when content for the older players wich reach a certain point after several years, where there's nothing to aim for that would actually be a challenge for that small percentage of eve subscribers, people that actually thrive on hard challenges....We're the crowd that started playing this game when it was much tougher than it is, as we started with practically no skill points(8000 SP in my case), a lowly frigate and money was made a lot more slowly, and it took me a month of hard core playing to get into a cruiser, and then another 3 months to get into a battleship, and all i could do was mine with it at the time, and that was how it all started...P

My heart raced when i lost my first battleship in 0.0(providence), when the castor patch was released and battleship spawns were in 0.0 systems, and not like the easy spawns we see today, but groups of 20 ships with tacklers that spawned 20 kms away from your ship so they had to be handled at long range, and in groups of 3~4 battleships since we all had low skills trained up, and those spawns progressively popped up faster and faster over time, and we had to leave after about 60~90 mins since we couldn't keep up anymore.....They were even harder than incursions, and i had my ships on fire more times than i can remember, and loved every minute of it.

The initial plan was for the game to have 5 tech levels, and here we are 8 1/2 years later, and only have T3 cruisers to show for it wich have been here for nearly 2 years now, and no faction or T2 capital ships at all,(oh the horror).....It's like the older player base reaches a level where they should be perpetually satisfied with that they've achieved so far, do the same activities over and over again week and months and years on end (and i mean all of them), and simply watch their wallets get fatter and fatter, ever increasing their SP total with no path to evolve even further.....It's like reaching the cap level in WOW and eve isn't supposed to be like this period.

So now that the game is much easier these days, and CCP focused a lot on the new player experience to atract new customers, isn't time to focus on the older players for once, as even titans and super carriers is content that was released in 2005 already, and here we are nearly in 2012, so it's time for something to happen at the high end?.....I'd love to be able to fly jove ships or even turn into a jove thru a complex, time consuming process that involves a whole new skill set that makes training to fly a titan a walk in the park by comparison.....Give me a reason to keep playing that's very challenging even for the most dedicated players is all i ask for, not what we usually see on these forums with all the whining for every little thing not going someones way and usually ending up in a flame fest.
