Avoiding Aggression Exploit

There is a serious exploit that involves by-passing the aggression timer. One of more corp mates died in his Charon rather recently. The problem however isn't how he died, it is how the gankers were able to pick up the freighter loot and then by pass the aggression timer that would usually come with it.

The ganekers were able to by pass the aggression timer that would come with picking up loot by warping a Charon on top of the wreck, pick up the wreck, eject the character that got the aggression timer, and then jumping a out of corp alt into the Charon thus canceling aggression timer.

I believe this is an exploit and I request further investigation.

It's a cowardly trick but That's not a exploit, aggression timers only exist on characters not ships. If you swap ships, the aggro swaps as well.

Was this confirmed by CCP? Not trying to be mean or anything, but I am just wondering if CCP made a statement about something like this.

Why would it be an exploit?
The pilot doing the crime still has the appropriate flags. Just because he's not in the ship you'd like him to be in or the ship you'd like to shoot doesn't belong to him doesn't mean anything is wrong with what has happened.

Like Jack said: it's the person that is the target, not the ship. No aggression is avoided.

As for the trick, remember it works both ways: you can steal that freighter and fly off with it just like they're trying to do…

I personally def consider that to be an exploit however one way to shutdown that tactic is to lock the 2nd charon. A ship being targeted can not be boarded so once the theif jumped out of the charon no one would be able to jump into the charon as long as someone had it targeted.
