Same problem with Windows setup.

Also having the same issue with Mac:

iMac
3.1 GHz Intel Core I5
AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB
OS X 10.8.5

As there is no possibility for DX9 in Mac, the game is currently unplayable.

this certainly seems to be a Radeon / directx conflict. i had the same issue but i followed the work around listed above, ie: change to directx 9 in the launcher options, and i can play no probs!

In Windows using DX9 helps, but does not solve the problem completely. I am getting crashes approximately once every hour using DX9. With DX11 approximately once every 10 minutes.

Made a ticket regarding this yesterday. Still no response. The problem persists. Luckily was somehow able to mcgywer a docking procedure.

When will this issue be fixed? How will the affected be compensated?

AMD Radeon HD 6700
Windows 7 32bit running DX11.

Kept crashing after update.

Updated my drivers, removed the client, reinstalled. Was working for at least an hour.

Looking in the patch notes, I don't see it addressed for 1.1.2

I had to remove a number of effects in game that that seemed to help a bit. I'm running DX9. But I still have had crashes, including a BSOD on Windows 7. That's a rarity. Running an Nvidia 250, but like the rest, I haven't had problems till this patch.

CCP deciders, I think that increased investing and attention to testing would be beneficial. It could be that you can't keep a group of testers (and not pay them mininum wage). But your current facilities for testing need a look and a revision just going from this experience.

Trust is important. Computer crashing code causes corrupted confidence... and lead to less trust in the player relationship.

Same here. DX9 solves problems for a bit longer.

Guys, at least we didnt loose boot.ini this time. Remember, it could be worse:D

We have come up with a much simpler repro case that consistently crashes my AMD display driver (and even blue-screened once). We have a potential fix that we're about to test with the original repro case - more on this later.
