Omnidirectionals: Scripts not working?

So, I load my Dominix fleet up with Optimal range scripts, getting ready to run some sites; I figured that this nerf isn't really that bad, and honestly, it isn't.. it's really more of a pain in the butt; however, I do a check on the new optimals/tracking with each script loaded accordingly and I notice something startling, there is no change! At least on the show info tool tip, with the ODL's active, and the drones in space, the optimal and the tracking speed are at base, without any modifiers.

I have tried repackaging the mods, turning them on and off, before, and after launching drones, and launching different types of drones (Gardes and Bouncers are those which I am most concerned.)

Does anyone have any experience with this? It's rather frustrating as the numbers, if reflected correctly in show info, render sentry boats completely, and utterly useless.I'm sure this is a bug, and hopefully is fixed soon.

it's decade old bug. drones in space show default attributes, not affected by skills or modules. You need to show info on drones in drone bay.

reported in main rubicon 1.1 issue thread, it seams either show stats are broken or something is funny with new ODLs. Dev promised to look into at later, they have bigger problems now.

Confirmed, drone attributes of the drones IN YOUR BAY receive no update if you activate the links, it just shows the basics, fairly big derp on CCPs part!

It's a total f*ck up, it's been done to death in the threadnaught and we're still waiting for someone in CCP to wake up to this.

Basically very, very poor.

im sorry but the omni change while a nerf is not crippling to the point of making it impossible to make isk. You might be making a bit less isk...if you aren't making any, thats on you.

this....and there are worse patch bug's ccp has done.


My favorite one seen in the past is pos' going rogue. As in they shot blues too. Less isk per hour not as bad as getting popped landing on a pos that has decided to go ACSI (all colors shoot it) lol.

The nerf, while certainly making sentry boats more of a pain (and not at all addressing the real problem of drone assist) isn't the problem. The problem is Omni's, in their current state, do absolutely nothing. You could theoretically use wardens and still get decent range and have normal DPS, but your tracking will be horrendous. Gardes are useless in their form... until Omni's are fixed Sentry drone boats will have to use other forms of drones... which, as a primary DPS source, is...well, none.

I understand that problems happen with patches but I want to make sure this is brought to attention and not overlooked.

the omnis work they just aren't reflected in drone attributes. they still change them though. if you're on any ship other than domi/ishtar and you have omnis with scripts and still cant hit anything, you might consider selling your ship. if anything, sentries will be nerfed even more.

Am I the only one that feels like unloaded Omnis feel more effective than scripted ones?

I run an Ishtar with 2 fed navy omnis, with one script of each in there at least one of my gardes will miss at around 20-30km, with 2 tracking scripts they still do this, but without any in there they track just fine and actually feel more effective than before the patch.

I've not done and will not do any number crunching as I just don't care that much, I can still run missions just fine, it's just something I've noticed.
