Hey, so a while back the 'Pin Window' option was taken out due to some issue or another and I have heard nothing of this amazingly helpful tool being fixed. For someone who likes to PvP and does a LOT of manual flying having windows that are not locked in place is a serious pain in the a** and with all these new cool patches coming out I would like to see if CCP might slip this into one. I am sure I am not the only one...

Since when "pin window" doesn't work? Because for me even Rubicon 1.1 didn't manage to break it, pinned windows stay pinned. Troll or you have some specific scenario when it doesn't work?

That feature has been broken for as long as I've played Eve. I'd like them to fix that, as I'm sick of my numerous chats merging with one another and into my overview. Everytime I undock, I have to minimize multiple boxes to see out the damn spaceship window.

Press Escape.

General Settings tab --> Windows section--> Tick "Lock windows when pinned."

Unless i misunderstood your issue, I think this is what you're looking for.

EVE is what happens when the rule of law does not apply and Darwinism is allowed to run freely.

they always show translucent for me. You mean I have to go to some settings page to make a feature work properly? I need a video lol

With out the option to pin windows selected all the Pin Window option on your chat channels and such all it does is make the windows translucent. With the setting to Pin windows selected it makes it translucent and makes it unmovable until turned off.

Holy crap... And here was me thinking it was just borked...

Its been bugging me for ages because the 'pin' window just made them see-through and didnt lock them in place...

I need an adult...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

It's pretty amusing though that you have to check a separate setting in order to make pinning windows actually pin windows.

Kind of like how the email client on my phone wouldn't zoom out all the way until I checked a separate option in settings.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Well, that would make much more sense to have transparency of pinned windows as an option not actual pinning. Or change tooltip to "Make window transparent".
