Not quite a Rubicon 1.1 related post as I first noticed this about a week ago, but others in this thread seem to have the same problem(s) so I thought I'd add my anecdotal 2 isk.

Starting ~1 week ago EVE seems to frequently cause BSOD crashes without apparent trigger. The crashes are more likely to occur if I have more than one account running in Windowed mode on the same screen, but occur also when just one client is running. Elapsed play time does not seem to matter - I had a BSOD just a moment ago within a minute of logging in (but then again we all know Jita is cursed...). I have a pretty decent computer, so raw power shouldn't be a problem?

System Specs:
Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Intel i7-2760 processor (2.4 GHz)
16.0 GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 580M

Note: this was all while running DirectX 9 and started occurring before Rubicon 1.1 (but in the last week).

Edit: Only once (while multiple clients were running) did the computer give a GPU driver recovery error. I didn't save that error message but if it ever re-occurs I will. All other crashes have been BSOD.

It DOESN'T say any such thing. Can't you read? It says "reduced by . . . 95% of full value."

I have been out to the ratting fields today in null and they are only down by 5%, still kind of lame and who ever wrote that does not speak English as a first language.

Exactly. I had to read it three times to figure out what it really meant.

More laziness by CCP - they have enough native English speakers to be able to completely avoid that sort of mishap.

I wrote this a little bit earlier today about it in a different thread.

NPC bounty payments in null sec reduced by pay out 95% of full value.

Seems like kind of a **** move CCP. You know a few "successful patches" (i cant really remember when) you introduced rats that switched targets, making them harder to deal with but the bounties stayed the same. Talk about losing the whole "risk to reward" concept. So now on top of being harder to kill they are now worth less than before; not in high sec... just in null sec where the rats are their hardest...

Something here seems really wrong to me... Could you please explain what balance you have added to the game to make up for this? Did you add more ratting sites? Did you add more rats to the ratting sites? Did you make the rats weaker? Or does it come down to the risk of living in null sec is not worth the better reward?

High sec is looking pretty cool now. You get 100% of the bounties and Concord is there to back you up just in case "things get too hard".

You know every time you undock in null sec you are taking a big risk. It could be from a large red fleet a couple jumps away; or the angry madmen in the wromhole who are looking for a fight; or it could be from that friendly player who looks a little skeezy around the eyes and will probably light a cyno on you and bring out his 20 hostile friends to murder you. Every time you undock you face these risks; every time. But if you think living like that is not worth 100% of the bounty on rats then what is the reward of living in null sec? Why should players want to play out there?

Oh, before i go here is the definition of "successful" in the English language: "accomplishing an aim or purpose". Now i am not a real cultured man and i have no idea what language you speak in Iceland but i do know one thing; successful must mean something radically different in that language than it does in English. That is unless you wanted to lose players, then yes this patch has been very successfully deployed.

With all the mistakes and problems with Eve, you wonder if the DEVs actually read the forums. But it is a worse thought to think they do.

Long story made short on how the standing issue hit the live server:

(yeah it's long but still is the short version...)

We were fixing a bug, a minor one, which involved objects disappearing from the overview when you had specific filters active. For example if you activated "filter alliance from overview", your own and your mates' cans would disappear.

The code that takes care of standings in the UI is old and hard to deal with so we started on implementing a fix back in early December, with in mind that we would deploy it as soon as possible on to our test servers, after the overview had received extensive testing by internal developers of course.

What we did not not spot at that time was that the chat would also be affected by this change and we are still a bit baffled that the issue did not get spotted in internal nor public testing with the change implemented such a long time ago...

We investigated the possibility of doing a live deployment to get this fixed but the possibility of interrupting the service for too long was too great, so sadly the fix will need to wait until tomorrow downtime.

My sincere apologies for creating this mess.

Soooo... confirming we are waiting until DT for a standings fix.

That sir, is absolutely ridiculous, considering the massive amount of fighting we've had in null sec recently. Obviously, there are people that would take advantage of this, and exploit it.

Also, confirming that: A) You WILL be dealing with the thousands of petitions regarding this issue by not fixing it now. B) You're willing and able to revert any damage caused by not rolling an emergency DT to fix it now. And finally C) We'll all get some sort of half assed "gift" or some such other nonsense as compensation for what CCP did.

Thanks but no thanks. This is a player controlled game? My ass. We can't even control the client, let alone the game.

I suggest for starters, giving us all a month of free game time. Eat this month for your disaster.

Alternatively, you could always SHUT THE DAMMED SERVERS DOWN TO APPLY THE FIX.

Absolutely shameful.

EDIT: Remove that ******** ESS module, and restore it to how it worked before. No one wants it. As if Null wasn't hard enough to live in.

I disagree I want them to wait until downtime if that what they need to do in order to fix the problem correctly! Its not that hard to pay attention to who is in system and see if they are friendly just be safe and stay aligned. Also I love the ESS and will be using them to troll all the time!

This is one of the hardest lessons for humans to learn. We cannot admit that things might be neither good nor evil, neither cruel nor kind, but simply callous – indifferent to all suffering, lacking all purpose.

Yeah, ATI is totally screwed under DX11. Change to DX9 from the launcher settings (little cog wheel, upper right corner, last tab) and you will be fine.

It appears that this patch has broken skill and ship modifications affecting drone optimal range and tracking speed. The tooltip only shows the base values now. My experience in combat today leads me to believe that this is not just an issue with the new tooltip.

My sentry drones were missing quite a lot in what used to be their optimal range.

I am now in hour 15 of trying to apply the update. 7 failed updates via the launcher and I'm now using the repair.exe for the 2nd time after the .exe hung. Nothing wrong with my fibre connection as all other speed tests show peak performance. Nobody bothering to respond on Twitter or Facebook. Shocking service guys; really stunned at how poor this is.

Pretty much in the same boat here, one client patched fine last night but today the other doesnt even come close.

I'm patching via the repair (since you broke my launcher, thx for that btw) and it keeps failing to repair, the download speed is incredibly slow, obscenely so, and then the repair tool hangs/freezes and does nothing. Frustrating CCP......

What the others said, and I mostly miss the rockets/missiles smoke trail. Where did it go?!
Can you please bring back the nice smoky trails? :)
Also, shield hardeners are no longer glowing(invul field), the shield booster still glow tho.

And yes, the graphics isnt that good anymore, I have all settings on max and the look of everything turned pixy.

Ever since the patch I have been getting significantly less moon goo in my small mobile siphons and based on the odd numbers of goo left in the siphons I don't think it's someone else taking it. My guess is that when the other editions of the siphon were added that the numbers for the current module were screwed up. Would a Dev please check on that ASAP?

Not sure if intended but extending the expedition/escalation time doesn't work, you get 24 hours and that's it.

I see you correctly reproduced the problem, but in fact I'd suggest to test it with some + in local, not just your corp members. Also add CCP Guard, I'm sure he has suspect flag again.
