I guess as I am the 1st to call you out when the servers die I guess it is only fair to sing your praise when everything just works, despite all the problems of late that super fight ran better than any of us ever expected it would in that situation and unreinforced initially to boot. I think the official confirmation about drone calculations definitely helped all party's make the right choices about what they did with the grid and props to you guys for the work on the backend.

Enjoy your free publicity and subs yo

+1.

So good to see how well - given conditions and so on - that the node held up down in B-R, which allowed such carnage to occur.

See what happens when you use the right tool for the job and don't Jump 700 dudes into an overloaded grid at the same time.

I jumped in and out of system 3 times and each time it went much more quickly than expected.
I also managed to refit, use sentries and fighters, and activate modules without a whole lot of trouble as well.
I'm quite pleased.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

Great job on keeping the fight going.

P.S. can we get a stats dev blog about it soon :D

We need more than that, we need media coverage for the carnage!

And yeah good job CCP! If the node wasn't reinforced (I believe it wasn't), I can't help but wonder how smooth it would have been on a reinforced node.

Yeah its not a proper epic brawl until there's some shiny graphs about it. So CCP: graph time. Lol

Well something went right with their servers for a change. A node that wasn't even reinforced managed to hold up quite well for most of the day under the most destructive battle this game has ever seen. I'm sure they'll be quite happy to graph it up for us since they have something to take credit for.

On top of that the patch has gone very smoothly so far as well, taking only 50 minutes. Good stuff guys.

Sorry but I don't agree.

The node should work all the time that's what every player pays for.

The game should not run a 10% or any other % less than 100% (you have paid for a service at a standard) and not substandard no matter what .

CCP are totally responsible for the quality of the product and not anyone else.

This is not a rant or a dig at CCP but i do believe players should stop blaming them selves or there contribution for the lag. The player base in Eve grows slowly and if players start voting with there feet (account closing) because of lag and TDI then that will be a sad day.

I think you'll find that no subscription based service of any kind promises 100% uninterrupted service.

The point i am trying to make (not very well) is that players should never see them selves as part of the problem or thank CCP for keeping the server running (that's what they get paid to do) and to keep the server (node) running at a quality that players expect, eg not affecting the quality of the game play if that makes sense.

nvm, deleted

But TiDi is something that comes with the game.

If nodes run at 10% under 10% conditions and do not crash, then the game is working as expected.

And I think CCP does deserve some kind of appreciation, at least after all the **** they got thrown their way after HED-GP.

I just undocked for the first time and someone challenged me to a duel. Wat do?

I was camping the B-R5 gate yesterday and I must say: thanks CCP, neither O3Z nor any of the nearby systems was TiDi'ed (I came via bridge at ~1900, not sure if that happened all day). Hope that happens more often from now beyond.

Because your logic is wrong. Its like buying a motorcycle, trying to make a hard turn at 150 km/h on a wet road, obviously crashing and then complaining that you paid for that bike and it is the manufacturers responsibility that you crashed.
