People are saying Patch is being delayed because of the current battle.
Can anyone please confirm or deny this ?
Thanks

I wouldn't bet on it. But it is a possibility.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

It's muuuuch to early to tell!

Why on earth would it be delayed?
Because a tiny minority of the player base wants it to be????

It's very unlikely. Downtime happens every day like clockwork, big battle or not, and the players involved in that battle know this. It's also not for another nine hours, so any assumptions right now would be jumping the gun quite a bit.

Because of the most destructive battle in eve history? Seems like a good reason to me.

There will be more battles. We've been getting quite a lot of nice battles lately. That's the thing about war, once you start shooting you immediately have lots of reasons to keep on shooting. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Maybe one day even the blue doughnut will be history.

why would they delay the patch? DT is something that will happen either way.

also, people who regularly take a seat on 500+ player engagements count on DT to go to sleep.

Yes, the patch was originally scheduled to be released on the 26th, now it has been moved up a bit.

See, that's not really true. There will be more battles, but the scale of this one is unreal. Getting people to commit like this is pretty amazing.

I'm an idiot, don't mind me.

But now it will be even easier to get people to commit because the node held. People will live with TiDi if there's a reasonable chance of getting stuff done. Node crashes make people go "why should I even bother". I have a feeling that finally we'll get larger and larger battles on a regular occurrence. Those carebears better get busy though, if my orders are late I'm not going to be happy and when I'm not happy, I make other people not happy - lol.
