a small change for the crucifier

now that the ship will loose its assymetric claw shape, i noticed the new model has certain similarities to bombers and the dragoon destroyer.

si i would like to suggest if we could get some changes to the ship itself, following the new trend with Amarr EWAR(and energy disruption) ships:

"include 2 launcher hardpoints to the ship"

not gonna suggest the same +10% in drone damage and hitpoints because the ship has the EWAR bonuses already, so its better to keep those bonuses. but adding the option to use launchers gives an entry for the amarr missile player. and its something that was lost with the frigate rebalance (the inquisitor becoming a logistic frigate, something that should have happened to the tormentor instead, as it was the default amarr mining frig since the start).

Supported. This would make sense especially considering that all the other Amarr droneboats have launcher hardpoints.

Furthermore, I think that links must be removed from the game.

it makes sense that if the crucifier is an EWAR droneboat like the dragoon, prophecy(well this one not much but uses drones) and armageddon, then it should also have missiles as an aditional option.

even the new model has the looks of a missile boat, so it isnt too crazy to think that it should actually be able to use rockets and light missiles, even if they're unbonused...

now about the sentinel, well, being a T2 ship that comes from Viziam, it has sense that it is locked to have only turrets. but the crucifier being a T1 ship and by that extend a generalist ship, it wouldnt be too much of a problem.

just a quick thing, it seems the magnate has two launcher hardpoints already, so i thing this idea can be scrapped. but it would still make sense, i dont know what you guys think

speaking of the new sentinel/crucifier any chance of a new skin for the sentinel? if you're going to lumber us with bad ships you can at least give them different paint jobs.

p.s. i'm not a fan of the new model

This, the Sentinel used to be black, then became more silver with black, now it has suddenly changed paint schemes entirely to match Viziam of all things. Please give it back it's Khanid paint scheme like the Curse does. Personally I can live with the model, but in a side by side comparison, the Sentinel and Crucifier look identical, with a very VERY subtle difference in coloration.

On a somewhat related note, in the description to all EAF's it doesn't actually list a manufacturer, and only gives a generalized description of the EAF Ship class, nothing specific to the ship itself.

Edit: Oh yeah, launcher hard points would be better than turrets, even if they were to remain unbonused.

the problem is that while it doesnt state that its from Viziam, changing it to another paintjob of either Khanid or Carthum would make the purifier the only Viziam frigate......right now only the Sentinel and the Purifier are from Viziam.......maybe change the color palette a bit, a stronger green coloration for example.

EAFs need to have that info about their corporation of origin added too....

Hmm, idk. my graphics card says the crucifier and the sentinel look exactly the same. Same color scheme, same paint, same everything.

I am with you. It should probably stay Viziam but Viziam should definitely have it's colors changed or enhanced. It looks terrible on all the ships, not just the small ones.

the problem with Viziam is that they only change the gold markings for an olive green (or i think is that color), this is only noticeable with ships like the Purifier, the Zealot and the Redeemer because they usally have several parts plated in gold for their original models.

but the crucifier has more white and black parts than gold markings, so its hard to notice. what CCP could do is either give more color to the markings, reverse the colors (white markings with olive green plating) , or practically redesign the Viziam colore palette

this is something that only happens with amarr ships, where the only corporation that actually changes both ship color and marking color is Khanid Innovations (black+silvery markings)........Carthum only changes the ship color from white to red, Viziam only changes the color of the markings.

the other factions get better color variations and designs for their T2 hulls, althought, Amarr wins in Navy colors (dat napoc)....
