maybe next time have an open qualifier.

Anyway may the RICHEST team win.

and so what...? The 5 signup plexes for the teams that werent chosen by CCP to participate, you keeping those?

I was actually talking about having a qualifier for future NEO's earlier today and I am looking thoroughly into how it would be best to do that.

As for the 5 PLEX from the teams that didn't get in, they will be refunded.

And let's keep this thread relatively clean please, I don't want to go around deleting posts here :)

I am sorry, I was a little miffed, i have since recovered. lookiing forward to see some good fights at NEO II, meanwhile, the capusuleers of new eden who enter into losec will absorb the remainder of my hostility.

Well CCP am pissed at you and your zasranou silent auction that prevents those who are interested and not particular eve rothschilds
to participate . Yea and did i mention tat normal open auction is 10 thousand times more fun that this untransparent shady silent whatever, and that just for the audience in the past i was lucky enough to participate in two of the past auctions for the tournament slots as bidder and i can tell you it was awesome fun exceed only by the actual tournament matches. So you estimate that people spend less money on an open auction?
Why do you think that?

Hard to say but probably yes because you don't have to throw all your money in to first bet and if you miscalculate the amount that first mistake is also your last. On the other hand as i wrote the open live auction is great fun and it can heat up to personal rivalry or auction addiction and raise up the bids or not you never know that is the beauty of the sand box. I remember in one of the auction i participated in biding even more that was our auction pool at that time just to spike up the price of the slot for rival alliance that clearly wanted that slot.

And if ccp can transfer those betting characters from their captain's quarters to some auction hall or make them come to one station and open one for them there, that would at least give some meaning the whole captains quarters charade but don't mind that that is just me living in the dream world as i got many more such dreams about eve some of them may come true in the future most probably don't.

I agree this silent auction was not the best way. Maybe having 2 separate silent auctions could have been more fair, if the prices of the first auction were then disclosed before the second started.

Its a NEO promise, so going off the payment time of the NEO prize shirts from NEO 1 id say minimum you're looking at is 14 months

Haha, we are working on this now :) I personally promise that we will refund the PLEX to the teams that didn't get in before the end of this week!

The work on the t-shirts was ongoing but there were a few roadblocks with the original design. Yes we have been working on it, no everything did not go smoothly. That is not an excuse for why it took so long but moving forward we are working towards delivering things faster.

Cool response, er, Bro Cool

Can you expand on these roadblocks?

Maybe I'm being cynical but i find it almost impossible to believe there could be anything that could hold up such a relatively simple bit of work as producing a virtual tshirt design for so so long. Especially with CCP producing and releasing several new Tshirt designs over the last 12 months. I understand that the plex for good tshirt was a much much more noble cause to develop for, but you guys knocked that bad boy up and had it out within a month at most.

What exactly makes the NEO prize Tshirt so difficult to produce? I mean, you got the NEO payments sorted and that whole debacle seems infinitely more complex and out of your comfort zone as a company than whipping up some virtual items does.

What is the excuse/reasons for taking so long?

How have your processes changed "moving forward" to ensure such ridiculous situations don't occur from now on?

Why did you promise a prize you had not developed, and couldn't implement?

I really, really, really, don't want to derail this thread with this topic to be quite honest but you ask valid questions and deserve an answer. As you rightfully point out this isn't such a complex issue, there were clashes when it came to the design. These went unresolved for a little bit and the project fell by the wayside for a while after that. There were recurring discussions about getting them out but no traction was gained for the longest time.

Like I said earlier, there is no excuse for this taking so long so I'm not going to try and provide one. What we want to focus on now is getting the shirt out and then making sure future stuff like this takes less time. This includes defining the work process a lot more and making the whole thing more streamlined and free of roadblocks that knock the project aside. I'm sorry I can't go into more detail but we basically want the process to be as smooth as possible so this kind of delay doesn't happen again.

Re-railing thread:

When do you expect to get the rosters posted ?

And is there an update on what can be done for team characters that were purchased after the server mirror, can those people request skill-points be added to other characters they own on the test server ?

I will be manually transferring the purchased character over to the account it is currently on TQ so the player can practice with the character they will be flying in the tournament. To get that done please send a support ticket to the community queue, note that I will double check on what account the character is on TQ so don't try to fool me! I might get angry Evil

Today and tomorrow we will be sending out a ticket to all team captains asking them to finalize their roster, note here that only people that have been invited to the team (have they accepted or not) are eligible to join a finalized team roster.

Next time, consider giving a few slots (maybe 4 or 8) to the winners or high-finishers from SCL? That way promising teams that place highly there won't have to break the bank to get into the NEO.

(Yes, this is a shameless plug for SCL)

Promising teams from the SCL win enough isk to pay for their entry into the NEO.

I disagree. There are plenty of teams that participate in the SCL who don't place high enough to win ISK but could fairly be considered 'promising'.

Not to toot our horn, but as an example we (No Boundaries) placed 4th in the last SCL - and therefore didn't win any ISK - with a team that was largely made of up of people with no prior tournament experience except for two last-minute "we need you to fly otherwise the brackets are ****** and we can't have the tournament" matches in the one before that.

I think it's a good idea to investigate but I suspect it would require some changes to how the SCL operates and how much CCP investment there is in it. It would also probably increase the number of teams who wanted to participate, which is never a bad thing, imo.

Valid question, Which server do you want the support ticket on?
