I think it's going to be utter crap tbh... Luckily, I won't be attending due to RL stuff, otherwise I just might have felt compelled to go check out just HOW utter crap it was...

You're absolutely right. Mining isn't fun. That's why I'm kind of glad there are people that do it. So I don't have to. I do agree that no one should be AFKing and expecting things to be "okay". I also think if you're in space you should fit a tank because stuff shoots at you in space. But I'm glad there are people who enjoy mining - so I don't have to. :)

It could be fun. Just let go all the rage and start thinking about how to fight your enemy with a smile on your face. And be creative. Bring an Orca in the ice field and set up a big swarm of Venture's that will orbit the Orca with high speed and also mine. Drop the ice in the Orca (this will help you later to make enough money for ship replacement) and watch/spam the local to keep everyone awake and entertained. And when the NO will came by, everything is fair game. But in the end, no matter of the outcome, respect your enemy and drop a GF in the local.

Think about those awesome pilots in RvB, BNI and even the grrr goons back in the days when they decided to pick on the mighty BoB. These guys had made history in EVE and they deserve all the respect even if your not agree with their politics. And NO is an awesome enemy with a lot of intelligent and experienced pilots, if they pick up the fight with you.. be happy and make sure that you deliver quality content.

Streaming a mining fleet on twitch. I would love to watch but unfortunately I've got to poke a cocktail stick in my eye tonight.

You know what?
The twitch feed will show more activity that any blob-sec fight at 10% TiDi.

That's when I did the other eye.

You'll want to be faster than that. If previous anti-order resistances are any indication, this'll all be over by tomorrow.

For all our brothers and sisters fighting the good fight in New Eden I say hello to you.

For too long the so called “New Order” and the pathetic “The New Halaima Code of Conduct”, have been used to scare and gank innocent players just because they want to mine.

I'm confused. In one sentence he greets NO warmly, then the other insults them.

Quote:
Forcing them to pay “Mining Indulgences” and ganking them anyway.

NO doesn't gank Code compliant miners.

Quote:
Every time someone has tried to combat them they fail because they are everywhere and nowhere.

Every time someone tries to fight them, they fail because they don't have a clue.

Quote:
They are mostly in NPC Corps flying frigates and destroyers which can be used against mining ships with great effect.

CODE. says hi.

Quote:
This is all about making ganking seem more lawful and legitimate, whilst James 315 and his absurd title of “Supreme Protector of Halaima and Saviour of Highsec” makes all the isk and keeps it for himself.

The Supreme Protector has a ship replacement program in place, reducing the effective cost of ganking to zero. He's reimbursed billions of ISK while the program's been active.

TL;DR: Don't reply.

But this invites a swath of ganking if you coming in traditional mining ships

Not if you tank apprpriately.

Quote:
So I recommend Mining fit Battleships

More expensive, worse yield, more profitable to gank (due to more spent on modules), less tank, smaller cargo hold and significantly higher skill requirements than a bog-standard procurer.

You know when I said anti order resistances always fail because they don't have a clue? It's garbage information such as yours that sends them working to all the wrong goals.

TL;DR: Don't reply.

i'm sure at 100%, all the anti-order resistance will fail. i'll go with my fleet just to see how they fail.

+1.

I applaud the sentiment and intentions of the OP and agree the 'New Order' needs to be disrupted. Their strong arm tactics of coercing ISK from miners definitely needs to be stopped.

However I don't think a fleet of Battleships equipped with nothing but mining lasers is gonna make a difference, unless of course those ships are just bait, fit with 1 mining lazor and the rest filled with weapons.

Hell, Battleships were used for mining long before the introduction of Mining Barges.

Anyway, good luck.

Why? What's wrong with roleplaying, emergent gameplay, and meta?

Is it 9pm EvE time?
Or did it happen already?
Either way, this is going to be interesting, I don't really like New Order but it was about time someone did something about them :)

Wonder if anyone is going to record it? Then maybe we can gather more tears here than HED.

Due to the rushed nature of the 1st Op its been a short one but no miners were harmed and only a few combat ships die because CODE Players bought there kill rights.

You can join the next one though.

We did ruffle some feathers it seems.

But Liber8eve OP Halaima was a success!!!!!!

Well, looks like some miners got to taste blood for the first time. Maybe they will stop trying to become bots :/

Confirming I spent this event gnawing rocks in a mining fit Rohk. Ironically enough, not one shot was ever fired at me. /shrug

Hopefully OP posts ISK made on the operation. I think it would be interesting to see.

You do realize that one the stated goals of the New Order is to get you to actually play the game, right?

By doing something that isn't mining, like, you know, fighting them, you fulfill their prophecy.
