Oh boy, this won't end well.

You want to host a mining OP in a miner ganking alliance staging system.

Is it just me... Or does it sound like a terrible idea.

Let's forget the whole mining battleship thing for a while, tell me more about the replacement fund. That has some potential.

All in the name of fun.

If we talk about fun, then use Ventures.. a lot of them. Those ships are real fun to fly and fight.. not to mention that they are very cheap, so loosing them is not a big deal. A Catalyst fleet vs a Ventures fleet is just awesome, most probably more and more people will join the fun if these events are planned and organized well. And perma WD each other, so there will be no Concord interference nor sec drop.

The only problem I see here is the very nature of the miners, they prefer to just float between the rocks and whine if somebody interfere with their mining cycle. Change this attitude and you may write history... New Order already did. Smile

Op's first post has more paragraphs than he has members in his corp. Not sure if that means he should have made a wall of text or shouldn't bother in the first place.

Here I float all broken hearted,
From my hulk I was departed.

Mining in a belt so grand,
Feet propped up, remote in hand.

While nodding off, I heard a sound,
I sat straight up and shut her down.

Engaging thrusters, while aligning to dock,
By a capital ship I was blocked.

Over the coms, the capital did say,
“We’re CFC and we’re here to stay”

“Listen little miner and listen well
To your corp you do need tell.

This is a CTA from the CFC,
Now run little miner, listen to me.”

Away I flew, and in the station I docked,
Avoiding gunfire, and almost getting popped.

Through the station I did run,
Shouting and screaming “CTA, time for fun!”

To their ships, everyone went,
When I made it back to mine, I was spent.

I climbed back in and held on tight,
I shook with fear, in my hulk that night.

Out the station, I did go,
Aligning to the fleet, which was at the node.

At the node, we looked shiny and brilliant,
However it turns out, we were not that resilient.

I died in combat, to that I am proud,
A shot fired from a dread, turn my ship into an ore cloud.

Out here I float, all naked and cold,
Thinking to myself, that this is getting pretty dang old.

Sorry found it relevant.

The idea of the replacement fund is people who get ganked by New Order get a mail from James saying why they lost the ship, if we use new orders killboards to verify the mails we'll replace or reimburse people as best we can with what we have. Im trying get an auditor to verify what we do so its all transparent and above board.

Battleships we're just the best we thought of late last night, if people want to come in ventures they can, they want come in anything they can, battleships were just the theme.

I love it. Its a fantastic idea.

The beauty of the New Order is, every time someone does something like this, we win. When our enemies become our friends, have we not defeated them?

"The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental."

The corps just a name, got 2 alliances on board. Its not about numbers it's about trying to change and adapt to what's happening around us.

Bring ventures if you want to, battleships were just a theme, but it does say in original post any ships welcome.

That's all well and good, but are you planning to fund it by mining indefinitely? Surely, you've thought of a way to make it a self-sustained operation?

Its constantly evolving, I dont want to say give us stuff or pay us, as then we're no better than New Order. If people want to give time thats fantastic, if they want to form coalitions and mine together awesome. I'm not asking for anything but anything given wont be refused for the cause.

See, that's a major issue. How much ships will you be able to replace? Ten? Twenty? There's only so much you can do like that. If you really want to scale the operation you will need other revenue streams. After all, CODE. is almost entirely funded through investments. If you start up a ship replacement program based entirely on goodwill, you will get crushed.
