I missed that one. Don't listen to the clueless. Even basic math proves him wrong. There are way too many people playing this game to give such a claim any base. You CAN flirt and you WILL find victims falling for it! themittani.com has an article about a sister doing exactly that, gaining around 50 billion ISK. I myself do it successfully too, leading easy minds into traps and liberating their ships from the pain of having to be connected with them.

Your only limit is your imagjnation. Just because so many lack any of it, doesn't mean things won't work/don't happen. These people are just narrow minded victims of their own egos.

Looking at their kills and losses, they seem to move around a lot. Last I heard they were in Hek, which is quite close. I'll even meet them halfway!

Reminds me a lot of myself in my first year of EVE - Social butterfly, always saying hi in local, trying to engage folks in conversation, batting eyelashes and such.

My results were similar to yours in that 9/10 times nobody replied (even to eve mails) and mostly when they did it was to accuse me of being a trap or spy of some kind.

I think the insular, paranoid environment that EVE breeds from being a sandbox with deadly consequences creates this attitude and it does take a little time to get used to how socially-anal the majority of the ingame populace can be.

I still do it though! Even in wormhole space I love to defy the l33t strategy of "never talk in local". Usually the results are the same, although occasionally someone talks back or tries to murder me, either of which are acceptable.

I agree with other posters who say finding your own social group voids this issue, but never stop being socially random anyway.

Also I don't think there's anything wrong with your ass.

Always open for a convo if you're looking for random chatter or an avatar to do squats with.

Those CODE guys and their Johnny 691 do tend to be borning to talk to. You should try doing missions in Apanake. We are very talkitive there and will keep you entertained also you can keep tabs on who is losing MTU's and blinged out missioning ships. P


But at least we do talk in local.

I've found the best way to get the conversation flowing is with some sort of ... oh.. I don't know.. catalyst.

When i first started i jetcan mined in a harbinger. It wasn't that bad.


When I first started I mined in an omen. But of course that's not what I use these days. I just use the maller and harbinger for flying around trying to find someone to talk to me. Smile

Mate, you have me confused with someone else. I don't have anything on my profile about pretty females and I'm in an NPC corp right now.

I appreciate the apology but following it with a personal attack (whatever it was) was uncool. However, I'm going to chalk that up to your own obvious bitterness since you don't know anything about me.
