Hello,
I would like to share my experience to see if someone else had the same problem in the past to try to find a possible solution.
When I opened my Eve account in 2008 I was living in Europe and I used to pay my subscription with a VISA issued in Europe (ofc).
Two years ago I moved in North America, yesterday I activated my account which was frozen and found out that instead of paying in $ I paid in euros so, instead of paying $ 14.99 I paid $ 22.45 (more or less).
Now, while I was paying, I noticed the currency expressed in Euros but I thought that the currency used was related to the type of Credit card you put. In fact, the credit card I used to set up my subscription was issued in North America.
I guess you should change the address of your account but how? I could just put my real address in the billing form which I think isn't enough.

Any help from someone who had the same experience?

I already submitted a ticket and asked for refund. But can I change the address of my account by myself?

tank you.

EDIT 24JAN14:
After petition, currency for NEW subscription was adjusted but CCP replied to speak with credit card for refund X which it doesn't make any sense, in fact, they have my money now.

I think the simplest way to solve the problem would be to move back to Europe, then you can be over charged with the rest of us.

Plus, with the Europe solution, you can beat your fist against a brick wall in rage, and then get free health care to fix your hand.

I doubt GD can solve your problem, at most we can make fun of you. Petition is the only thing that will have a chance of actually helping you.

But yeah, when you travel internationally a lot it can be confusing, what with companies' financial departments wanting to maximize profits, banks wanting to screw you on exchange rates, credit card companies suddenly cutting you off because, you know, you changed your spending pattern and they want to be sure the card wasn't stolen, and now throw in all the anti-money laundering rules and regulations that make banks treat you like a criminal if you actually have any money at all, and something as simple as billing is a nightmare nowadays.

Hmmmm paying more for everything and 'free' health care. If only there was a connection.

You'd almost certainly have to send in a billing petition to get something like this resolved.

Petition it.

Hmmmm, paying a comparatively high tax rate when compared with those with free healthcare to shore up the military and then being breathtakingly overcharged for the simplest of medicines and treatments due to a gargantuan corporate lobby influencing a government that is composed of representatives who care more for re-election and feathering their own nests than their constituents. Thank god a country like this doesn't exist... Roll

Have you seen American society and/or politics? It's a wonder the country isn't being torn in two by civil war - or it would be, if not for the massive civil repression through the scaremongering media and fire-armed police...

Paying with yankee pesos, cute....

On the internet, you can be whatever you want to be. It is amazing that so many people chose to be stupid.
