Hello fellow capsuleers (It's pretty cool to be able to say that now). So today I began my intrepid journey into New Eden, despite all of my prior research warning me that It'd possibly be easier to become an astrophysicist that begin an Eve career,.

I started the tutorial today I found It to be a rather passive an relaxing experience I enjoyed it :) so thing's are looking up from here hopefully.

I'm really enjoying my Space faring sci-fi at the moment and EVE really is the pinnacle.

Anyway down to the question's, I've heard that joing either Red vs Blue or EVE university is best for noobs? How on earth do I do this?

Finally outside of EVE, any recommendations for good Space Opera fiction, be it Live action TV or Anime? please guy's help me out!

And last but not least does anyone know how to obtain EVE Templar One audiobook in the UK?

Many questions I know!

Any answers would be much appreciated cheers guy's!

eve is a terrible game and nobody should play it.

on a serious note though, eve university is the best for learning fast and efficiently. on the other hand, brave newbies is arguably more fun, as it is still relatively fresh and blue-eyed. and finally, red vs blue are all about pvp. any one is fine, pick whatever fits your play style.

as for other media: it's not exactly a space opera, but ergo proxy is probably the best sci-fi anime i have ever seen.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Look up either Red Federation or Blue Republic in Your People and Places search. do a show info and apply to join the colour you like best. Everyone is accepted.

You might want to read this before joining RvB - http://rvbeve.com/forums/index.php/topic/20-before-joining-rvb/

For Eve Uni, look them up the same way - if you want to apply go to http://eveuni.org/apply and follow the instructions.

Fly Casual...

You have much to learn, it's not scary because you are unaware of the dangers surrounding you. Twisted

Eve is a video game with a set of (mostly) fixed rules. Learn those rules and nothing about it is scary. Learn those rules and you will generally only explode on your own terms and not provide tears for your killers. Learn those rules and you will dominate most of those you face. Carry on intrepid capsuleer and remember this above all other things:

You are immortal. No one can really "kill" you at all.

Not anime or audiobooks, but the lore section of EVElopedia boasts some very well written pieces regarding the background of the EVE universe, not least of all the EVE Chronicles.

I gotta's say cheers for all the fantastic responses, so far guy's I;'m not a massive MMO fan and I think the complexity of EVE or what set's it apart from other games was what drew me to it in the first place, It really is as game like no other!

And well from what I've seen of the community so far has been great!

most scammers are also really friendly while they offer to double your ISK. but seriously, why would anyone go to the newbie forum to be a dick? It's like going to the playground to beat up a toddler.

I should buy an Ishtar.

I've got a few more questions I wouldn't mind getting some answers for if people don't mind?

Is there some way to skip the music tracks in the game?

What is/ how do I apply to join either Eve University or RvB and should I hold of doing so until I've completed the tuitorials?

Cheers guys
