Right up until the part where the protagonist drunkenly asks people to commit suicide.

Straight to what?

Kids.

Think of a VHS cassette as a "thumb drive" that was 7" x 4" x 1" (175mm x 100mm x 25mm) in size that contained about 3.5 to 4.5 Gig of data. However, instead of being stored on silicon, the data was stored on a tape varying in length from 412' to 1,427' (125m to 435m) that was rolled onto spools. If it helps you to visualize, a VHS cassette was a little bit bigger than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

The VHS cassette was inserted into a dedicated playback device that was about the size of a couple of game consoles and was attached with plain copper wires to your television.

Now get off my lawn forums.

You missed out the part where with a piece of sellotape it was possible to re record over the top of the original content. This is invaluable advice if this suggested movie is ever made.

I would expect the sound track to be the Benny Hill show theme... and the people would be running around falling down and bumping into things.

You haven't seen The Goonies? Oh. It's a classic. Which one is Mittani? Why, the bald one of course.

Ask your parents.

Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85

Seems like Groons

The story was submitted as part of the "Real Stories" contest that Dark Horse was supposed to put into a series of comics.
I wonder what happened with that?

Didn't you all write up like one lame paragraph and get your F1-monkey botnet to vote for it? Not sure what CCP did but I'd cancel the whole project as a result.

Makes sense. Didn't TMC get banned on reddit for a similar reason? Shame really, the TMC articles usually got up voted anyway because of decent quality, don't know why they felt they needed to bring in the upvote brigade.

Old habits die hard, I guess.
