I have 3 miners which generated about 100m to 300m in mined asteroid so far.

I would put the total value of their work at no more than under a billion so far.

That does include very high costs to generate such revenue.

I don't believe it is a viable option given the cost.

I'd made more money investing in Rorqual and other mining related ventures.

(I also mined in Ventures btw, even in 0.5 with 3 or more ventures, + Scout drones, and lost Ventures.
Not worth much either.)

I started to do Ice mining which may be worth more since I can produce Jump fuel.

I have yet to verify the cost of buying the jump fuel and compare it to producing it.

I have another for an Orca and bought a Mining Foreman Mindlink.
I transferred it to my Orca pilot although I didn't plug it in yet.

I then realised the Orca also needed support for security reasons.

The higher value of the implants , training and Orca value increase it's target value.
It is more likely that pirate will attack it when spotted or it's relative region/system location found.

Erm... well... good for you? [There isn't a question, or obvious line of discussion in your post, that I can find at least.]

No, it's in the title:
Mining Ventures and other Capital.

However, I was able to take screenshots.

I also got destroyed in a Barge at a critical point.

I also have more notes on the exact income and high yield Kernite mining.

My next step is to defeat the null sec rats to increase my profits related to expenditures.

Pirates cannot magically determine a pilots implants or skillpoints.

More Psychobilly than Rockabilly :D

OP: You have to either factor in the cost of losses of barges etc into your calcs or tank them up some and sacrifice a bit of yield. Keep the orca off grid in a safe spot and be ready to defend it.

Consider looking at other uses for the raw mineral/ice products too. If you pick the correct products to manufacture they act as a profit multiplier on your raw materials.

Hi-Sec mining is never going to be massively profitable but I personally still find it useful for ram materials to manufacture from

mmhhh...

Soldarius,
The high yield Kernite mining was obviously the best part not the problem.

Nevertheless, you may try or want to use my Opportunity as a weakness or HVT to attack me or justify such activities.

It wasn't the case as I was attacked by rats against my Ventures which couldn't defend against them.

2 drones per Ventures x3 wasn't always enough to save them all, and at 4 Ventures, the Multi clients is stalled.

Batelle,
The pirates that attacked me caught me while trying to bring a barge back to a Trade Hub in null sec.

The reasons I tried to do that was to get some Ice Harvester.

It would have been impossible to do it that way.

I'd have had to use a scout ship to carry the Ice harvesters to the target system from the trade station.

I got trapped in a bubble and the tank only lasts less than 30 seconds versus higher dps ships.

I was offered 30m or 300m ISK per hour mining with Orca or 500m per hour ratting but it seems like an authorization for an income limit.

Raynedrops Skye, what do you mean by OT in:
"Sorry for OT, but what exactly is the topic anyway?" ?

The topic is in the title, part of the EVE Gameplay Center >> Science & Industry Forum channel.

Corraidhin Farsaidh,
I already do include the following factors in my calculations:
(1) The cost of losses of barges and (2) the cost of tanking them up and sacrifice a bit of yield.
The Orca will be bubbled in null sec after testing it in hi sec with BS.

The other use for Minerals/Ice is for sale but I do not Manufacture/Research.
I did, in tutorial but there is my last profession persona.
I may never do it.

As for the language part, her sec status is now 5.0.
idk if it's corp related or the translator is acting.

There's a big scam coming with this guy. He's been posting random-type **** in every forum from S&I to Crime & Punishment to Market Discussions and everywhere else in between. Click on his name and have a look at his posts. His deal is either

A. Scam
B. Troll
C. Autism

The obvious choice is C. He's a French Canadian whose English is nowhere as fluent as he likes to believe. Virtually every thread he posts in ends up with people trying to figure out what he's trying to say.

I give a lot of credit to people who use English as a second language effectively. Many of them can communicate in English much better than I can in their native language. The difference is those people can make themselves understood. They can get their point across. This person is different. His spelling, capitalization and punctuation are almost perfect, and yet he rarely makes a coherent point, mainly because a lot of words he uses don't mean what he thinks they mean. There's more than one post from him where he will, in response to someone wondering what he's talking about, post literal definitions of common English words copypasta straight from a dictionary. It's weird.

"My negotiations will alter the collateral of my effort. Unless my time is affected next week by the value."

That's not an exact quote from him, but that's the way he writes: it leaves you scratching your head saying, "Huh? Say what?" I just think it's more than a simple language barrier issue. I can understand people speaking French better than I can understand him trying to communicate in English. And my French isn't too good. Personally I've got nothing against the guy, but there's something there that's just a wee bit off. It's the near perfect spelling and grammar that lead me to believe it might all be an elaborate troll (or scam in the making). Maybe I'm wrong.

2.
I still don't have time to reply.
I will likely find more data about mining and industry though.

In fact , I will most likely specialize in solo play rather than wasting my time specializing in natural languages...
I already don't have enough time as it is which is already forcing me to be more limited to solo play.
I prefer group play and I'm better at it but I can't due to time restraint.

The same for my posts.

I will most likely transfer everything to external site I own.
Since I was attacked many times on other subjects, it will allow me to control more what I post.
I also register copyright, and that also is being attacked.
Even acts of real piracy occurs.

I have removed some rule breaking posts and those quoting them. As always I let some edge cases stay.
Please people, keep it on the (indeed somewhat vague) topic and above all civil!

The rules:
4. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another forum user. Posts of this nature are not beneficial to the community spirit that CCP promote and as such they will not be tolerated.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

33. Posting of chat logs outside the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

The posting of chat logs between player parties is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel where they can be posted as part of stories in the Pirate Story Thread.
Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.

ISD Ez, if you had any issues with trolling than you should just flatup locked this thread, it's traveling about as fast as a cross country see-saw.

OP, I for one advocate wombatting your venture via PERL insurance, it should keep rouge pirates off your back. In the unlikely event Wombatting does not work, fit small remote hull repairs so you can tank incoming damage from pirate. Or offer to sing on their TS in exchange for them not ventriculating you up.

Or you could seek the advice of the section of the playerbase that speaks your native language, because the English speaking portion is completely baffled by this thread.

Stop mining in ventures.

Get Mining barges.

Tank the **** out of your ships and stop getting blown up.

Ventures are for: noobs, gas harvesting in low and WH.
Bonus: Combat Ventures are funny!

Get better drone skills! T2 drones with L4 support skills should handle np in a 0.5 if your ventures were tanked.

Yes, I think everyone has grasped that by now. But having a topic is not enough: you need to elaborate on it. All you've given us so far is a background (alhough worded somewhat cryptically) and nothing else. No questions, no suggestions, no rant etc. etc. I think this is what causes the confusion and snide remarks.

So, if there is anything you want, spit it out, and don't expect people to be able to read your mind just because "the topic says it all". Because, quite frankly, it doesn't. Not by far.

Fly safe. Blink
